Pilgrim Out Early

Dwyte Pilgrim started the day with only a few big bets and has now seen his tournament life end very early into the day. Pilgrim got the last of his chips in holding {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} and ran into Todd Witteles' {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

Pilgrim was looking for plenty of help and while a queen would fall on the turn of a {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} board, it wasn't enough to survive this tournament.

More Limit Hold'em Action Set to Begin

Jeff Lisandro is still in contention
Jeff Lisandro is still in contention

Here we are once again getting ready to get our min-raise on. That's right, it is time for Day 2 of Event 20: $5,000 Limit Hold'em.

Yesterday saw 166 players take to the tables to grind away their limit stack, and by the end of the day, 109 of those remained and it was Nicholas Derke who topped the chip counts with a stack of 74,300. Closely behind Derke is Australia's Warwick Mirzikinian, fresh off his six-figure score for finishing third in the $5,000 Mixed-Max last week.

Some of the best players in the world were at the felt yesterday and will be at it again today. Included are the likes of Terrence Chan, Matt Glantz, Jeff Lisandro, George Lind, Jason Mercier, Huck Seed, John Juanda, Eric Lindgren, Vitaly Lunkin, and Daniel Negreanu.

Also still in the mix, but in need of some help, is last year's $10,000 Limit Holdem Champion, Daniel Idema. It will be an early all-in for Idema today as he begins with just a couple of big bets.

All the action is set to kick off at 2:00 PM and PokerNews will be on the floor all day long, bringing you every check, fold, bet, call, raise,re-raise and check-raise. Don't miss it!
