Terrence Chan the chip leader
Terrence Chan the chip leader

Right before the break we caught the end of a big hand and noticed Chan was raking in plenty more chips. This is what the man had to say via Twitter.

The players are currently taking a quick unscheduled break while the chips are colored up. For your information, the 100-denomination chips are being removed from the tournament.

Draheim Winning Chips

Roman Draheim opened the action from the cutoff and Benjamin Scholl three-bet from the button. Draheim made the call and a {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Diamonds} flop was slid across the felt. Draheim check-called a bet on teh flop and then did the same on a {j-Clubs} turn. The {9-Clubs} river would see both players check and then Scholl muck when Draheim turned over {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Shulman Takes More

Matt Keikoan opened it up from under the gun and Jeff Shulman three-bet from the cutoff. Keikoan made the call and a {5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop was spread along the felt.

On the flop, Keikoan checked and Shulman bet. Keikoan went with the check-raise and Shulman quickly made it three bets. Keikoan called and a {2-Spades} turn was dealt. This time Keikoan would check and just call Shulman's bet as a {6-Spades} landed on the river. Another check from Keikoan and Shulman flicked out another bet. This time Keikoan opted to fold and Shulman took down the nice little pot.

Table #409 Chip Counts

Glantz Gaining

Matt Glantz has just taken down a handy little pot to add to his stack. When we arrived at the table there was a flop showing {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and around 10,000 in the pot, with Glantz and Dario Alioto involved in the hand.

Alioto proceeded to lead with a bet on every street as the dealer turned over a {j-Diamonds} and a {10-Spades}. In the end Glantz's {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a flush was stronger than the {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs} of Alioto.
