Ivey Scoops Perry

Stud 8

Phil Ivey{x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Ralph Perry{x-}{x-} / {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} / {x-}

We reached the table on sixth street, where Perry check-called a bet from Ivey. Perry check-called one more bet on seventh, and Ivey tabled {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for trip sixes. Perry mucked, and Ivey scooped the entire pot.

Steve Zolotow Eliminated in 23rd Place ($16,246)

Steve Zolotow - 23rd Place
Steve Zolotow - 23rd Place

Steve Zolotow was one of the extreme short stacks going into hand-for-hand play, but has managed to scrap in with a min-cash. Zolotow's last hand was during a round of Stud and he was all-in on fourth street against Paul Sokoloff.

By the time fifth street had been dealt, Solokoff had {q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} on the board, going perfectly with his {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} in the hole. Zolotow's cards couldn't even give him a sweat as he mucked his hand and wished everyone at his table good luck.

Alex Dovzhenko Eliminated in 24th Place ($16,246)

Alex Dovzhenko was very short, and on one of the first hands after the bubble burst, he was eliminated.

Wasserson Busts on the Bubble

Level 17

Stud

Eric Wasserson was watched heavily for the last five hands. He was dwindled down to 12,000 and it took five hands for him to get it all in. Brandon Shack-Harris and Phil Ivey also played the hand.

Eric Wasserson{X-}{X-}{A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{X-}
Brandon Shack-Harris{X-}{X-}{2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{X-}
Phil Ivey{X-}{X-}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{X-}

Shack Harris folded when Ivey bet on fifth street and took down a small side pot. Ivey turned up {9-Clubs} {8-Clubs} for trip eights and Wasserson made jacks up on seventh street for a tease.

Wasserson was the bubble boy.

Counts

Ivey and Katchalov

Razz

When we arrived at Phil Ivey's table, he was involved in a hand with Eugene Katchalov and it was already on fourth street.

Ivey: {x-}{x-} / {6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} / {x-}
Katchalov: {x-}{x-} / {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} / {x-}

Ivey led with bets on fourth, fifth and sixth street. Katchalov called bets on fourth and fifth relatively quickly, but went into the tank on sixth. Eventually he opted to fold and send the pot to Ivey. For your information, hand-for-hand has been playing out for ten hands now.
