Full House vs. Full House

Micah Smith checked with the board reading {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}, and Matthew Kirk fired 40,000. Smith tanked for quite some time, then called. The {3-Spades} completed the board, and Smith checked again. Kirk, who was sitting directly on Smith's left, leaned over and eyed Smith's stack. He moved back into his seat, examined Smith's stack one more time, then moved all in for effectively 66,000.

Smith let out a loud sigh, and rolled his eyes. He tanked for the better part of a minute before finally calling.

"Full house," Kirk announced showing Smith two eights.

Smith turned over {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for queens full of fours - a better full house - and also tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}. Kirk mucked the rest of his hand.

"You tanked with that?" Kirk asked Smith.

"I would've folded that," Huck Seed interjected. "You would've bluffed me out."

"He wasn't bluffing," Smith assured Seed.

Smith doubled to more than 200,000 chips, while Kirk dropped down to about 215,000.

Beauprez's Aces Cracked

With action in front, Steven Silverman raised to 21,000. John Beauprez moved all in for 83,000, and the action folded back to Silverman who tank-called.

Silverman{a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Beauprez{a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Spades}

The {q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} flop was gin for Silverman, but he still had to dodge a spade to eliminate Beauprez. The turn ({9-Hearts}) and the river ({4-Hearts}) were both red however, eliminating Beuprez from Event 39: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha.
