Negreanu Can't Beat Set

Daniel Negreanu raised in early position, Thomas Blizniak put in three-bets near the button, and Kevin Rand cold-called from the small blind. Negreanu called as well, and the dealer fanned {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. The action checked to Blizniak, who bet, and Rand check-raised. Negreanu called, and so did Blizniak.

The turn was another heart - the {a-Hearts} - and Rand led out. Both Negreanu and Blizniak called.

The {j-Spades} completed the board, Rand led out, and this time, only Blizniak called. Rand tabled {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and raked in the pot.

Somewhere to Be?

After taking down a pot with a series of bets, JC Tran quickly checked his cards, then raised from early position the next hand.

"Wow JC," Ali Eslami said, folding. "You got somewhere to be?"

"I'm on tilt," Tran replied.

"From what?" Eslami shot back.

"He's never had a summer holiday," David Steicke added. "He's always stuck here playing poker."

Only a player in the big blind called, and the flop fell {2-Spades}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}. The player led out, and Tran called. The turn was the {7-Hearts}, and the player led again. Tran called.

The {6-Hearts} completed the board, and the player slowed down, checking for the first time. Tran bet, and his opponent called.

"Nines," Tran announced, flipping over {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

His opponent mucked, and Tran raked in the pot.

Daniel Makowsky raised, Chris Tryba made it three bets, and Joe Chaplin called out of the big blind. Makowsky called as well, and the dealer fanned {5-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Chaplin checked, Makowsky checked, and Tryba tossed out a bet. Only Makowsky called.

Both players checked on the turn ({10-Diamonds}) and the river ({9-Spades}), and Tryba showed {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives.

Makowsky mucked, and Tryba took down the pot.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board, and both players knuckled.

Shaun Deeb, David Benyamine, and a third player saw a flop of {2-Spades}{j-Spades}{4-Spades}. Deeb checked, Benyamine bet, and both players called. The turn was another four - the {4-Diamonds} - and Deeb checked again. Benyamine bet, and both players called.

The suicide king ({k-Hearts}) completed the board, and Deeb checked a third time. Benyamine bet, and only Deeb called. Benyamine rolled over {5-Spades}{3-Spades}, Deeb mucked, and Benyamine pulled in the pot.
