Smith Gets There on the River

Action folded to Thomas Conway on the button and he raised to 46,000. Dan Smith defended from the big, and then both players checked the {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop. Smith proceeded to check-call a bet of 44,000 on the {3-Spades} turn, and then led out for 118,000 on the {K-Clubs} river.

Conway made the call but mucked when Smith rolled over {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

Sam Ngai Eliminated in 16th Place ($35,003)

Sam Ngai - 16th Place
Sam Ngai - 16th Place

It was folded around to Sam Ngai in the small blind, who went all in for his last 300,000. Thomas Conway called from the big blind to put Ngai at risk and the hands were revealed.

Conway: {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Ngai: {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts} board left Conway with trips, which was more than enough to send Ngai to the rail.

Conway is up to 2.1 million.

Joseph Cheong Eliminated in 15th Place ($43,095)

Daniel Perper opened to 42,000 from early position and action folded around to Joseph Cheong in the small blind, who announced he was all in for about 440,000 total. Directly behind him in the big, Kyle Julius also announced he was all in. Perper tanked, but eventually decided to fold and hands between Cheong and Julius were revealed.

Cheong: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Julius: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {9-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop looked good for Cheong, however, the {6-Spades} turn and {8-Clubs} river would give Julius a runner-runner straight for the knockout blow.

Julius is hovering right around 2 million following the elimination.

Giannetti Moves All In

Action has been fairly slow since returning from the last break. In a recent hand, action folded to Matt Giannetti on the button and he raised to 52,000. Thomas Conway was in the big blind and opted for a three-bet to 120,000, but Giannetti made him regret it when he moved all in and took down the pot.

Conway Gets Some Back

Thomas Conway raised to 52,000 from the cutoff and received calls from Konstantin Puchkov and Tommy Vedes on the button and big blind respectively. When the flop fell {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, Vedes checked, Conway bet 80,000, and Puchkov got out of the way.

Vedes opted to make the call and then both players checked down the {Q-Spades} turn and {4-Hearts} river. Conway then showed {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, which was good as Vedes mucked.
