John D'Agostino Bubbles Event 52: $2,500 10-Game Mix - Six-Handed

John D'Agostino is our bubble boy.
John D'Agostino is our bubble boy.

NL 2-7 Single Draw

John D'Agostino moved all in for his last 7,000 chips or so on the button. Mike Gorodinsky called out of the small blind, and the big blind released. The action was then held to allow the other tables to complete their hands.

"Are you drawing?" D'Agostino asked Gorodinsky.

"One," Gorodinsky answered. "You?"

"I can't tell you that yet," D'Agostino responded, grinning.

D'Agostino then admitted he was drawing one as well, and asked Gorodinksy what he had.

"Seven-five-four-two," Gorodinksy admitted.

"F***," D'Agostino blurted. "Give him a seven, dealer."

"Give me three sides!" Gorodinsky pleaded.

Finally, the players were allowed to deal, and both players received jacks. Gorodinksy's {j-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} was better than D'Agostino's {j-}{10-}{6-}{5-}{2-} however, and he was eliminated.

The Bubble Approaches

No-Limit Hold'em

We just lost Rep Porter in a massive pot, and we are now just two spots away from the money.

Tommy Hang told us how he raised and Porter called to his left. The flop came down {K-}{10-}{7-} with two diamonds and both players checked. The turn was the {3-Diamonds} and Hang bet 3,800. Porter raised it up to 10,000. Hang moved all in and Porter called his remaining chips off.

Hang showed {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and needed to dodge the board from pairing. Porter had {3-}{3-} but couldn't pull out the win.

Aberg Misses The Money

Pot-Limit Omaha

Rikard Aberg got short after the dinner break, and we just had to say goodbye to him. Aberg was all in from the big blind and up against two players.

On the {J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs} board Julien Dipace fired out 3,500, and that created a side pot when Tommy Hang made the call.

The river was {7-Hearts} and Dipace bet 3,500 again. Hang called and mucked when Dipace turned over his {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} for a turned flush. Aberg had {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} and left the tournament area empty handed.

Vincent Has a Lot

"I've got a lot now," Vincent van der Fluit just said with a big smile on his face. "It's like 160,000," he added after counting down his stack.

Van der Fluit is back in the lead with just 60 players left as we head towards the money. The top 48 players will get paid at least $4,309.
