Rast Leads The Remaining 37 Players

A field of 48 players is down to just 37 and play today will commence until we reach a final table of nine players, each of whom will be guaranteed $1,109,333. However, this group of elite players and personalities have their eyes set on the World Series of Poker bracelet and the first-place prize of $18,346,673.
After nine levels on Day 1, Brian Rast emerged with the chip lead. He bagged up a stack of 10,710,000 and following him is Phil Hellmuth with 8,395,000. The 11 players who busted yesterday were Justin Smith, Andrew Robl, Jens Kyllönen, Jonathan Duhamel, Paul Phua, Erik Seidel, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Nick Schulman, Eugene Katchalov, Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi and Giovanni Guarascio.
