Short Stacked Schulman

After the table folded around to Nick Schulman in the cut off, we found him moving all in for about 14,000. The button folded and George Wolff in the small blind moved all in. After the big blind folded, cards were flipped over and Nick Schulman was in trouble.

Schulman: {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Wollf: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

Schulman was in dire need of help as his pair of fives were no match for Wollf's pair of jacks at the moment. A {K-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} was placed on the felt. Schulman was unable to catch up and was eliminated from the field.

Colin Conquers

Bryan Colin
Bryan Colin

After a Bryan Colin bet from the button for 2,100 Huy Nguyen moved all in for about 22,000. Colin took his time before completing the call. Nguyen exposed {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, while Colin countered with {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Colin was ahead at the moment, but there were still five cards to come that would ultimately decide a winner.

With a {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board displayed Colin's pair of aces were enough to be awarded the pot, and Nguyen was eliminated from today's event.

Cheong Doubles Through Smith Again

We caught up with the action as the cards were being run, but Joseph Cheong four-bet all in for about 35,000 from the big blind with {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and ran into Jordan Smith's (the three-bettor from the small blind) {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

The board rolled out {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, giving Cheong a set to score a second double up through Smith.

Finally a Froehlich Post

Eric Froehlich
Eric Froehlich

In a recent hand we found Yin Sun on the button and Eric Froehlich in the big blind calling a 2,500 bet from the player in the cut off. A {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop was exposed in the middle of the table which lead to a Froehlich check as well as a check from the cut off. Sun however had different plans and fired out a bet 6,900. Action was back on Froehlich who raised and demanded 17,800 for anyone to see a turn card. The cut off mucked, and Sun went into the tank. After two minutes or so Sun announced all in and was quickly called by Froehlich.

Sun turned over {K-Spades}{7-Spades} for top pair while her opponent Froehlich tabled {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush draw along with a open ended straight draw. With a {2-Hearts} on the turn Froehlich wasted no time guaranteeing himself the win. A meaningless {3-Spades} fell on the river and EFro raked in a great pot.

Falling Star

Eugene Katchalov
Eugene Katchalov

While walking around the dwindling room we noticed Team Pokerstars pro Eugene Katchalov leaving the tournament area. When we got to his table we found fellow Team Pokerstars pro Victor Ramdin stacking Katchalov's chips. We don't know what happened, but what we do know is Ramdin continues to build his stack here on day 2, and is hovering at around 150,000.
