A Poker Lesson Feat. Aaron Jones

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Aaron Jones
Aaron Jones

Several players stuck around for 10 minutes into the dinner break to watch a hand develop between Aaron Jones and Michael Ferrell. Here's how it played out:

Marvin Rettenmaier opened the action with a raise to 6,200 from under the gun. Jones called directly behind, Tom McCormick called on the button, and Ferrell pushed out a three-bet worth 19,500 from the small blind. Rettenmaier tank-folded, Jones called, and McCormick got out of the way.

The flop brought {A-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Ferrell led out for 18,000. Jones called, and the dealer rolled out the {J-Spades} turn. Ferrell opted to fire again, this time for 34,000, and Jones slowly reached into his stack and cut out enough chips for a call.

When the {8-Hearts} hit the river, Ferrell slowed down by checking. Jones took the lead by betting around 52,000. After very little thought, Ferrell got out of the way, and Jones eagerly showed his {4-Clubs}{4-Spades} for a bluff.

"I had blockers," Jones joked as he raked in the pot. With that, the players are all on their dinner break.
