Alexander Scoops With Straight

Jason Alexander of "Seinfeld" fame is among the massive field today. He was a little hard to spot today as he is sporting a mustache, shades and his new hair piece.

We caught up with Alexander in a recent hand, where he was heads-up against another opponent on a {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. Both players checked to see a turn, which brought the {2-Hearts}. Alexander checked again from early position, prompting an 825 bet from his opponent. Alexander called.

The {4-Diamonds} completed the board and both players again checked. Alexander tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} for a rivered wheel and his opponent mucked.

Alexander is sitting just under the starting stack with 29,500.

Some Chips for Fluit

When we arrived at Vincent van der Fluit's table, there was already a {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board out on the felt. Van der Fluit was first to act and tapped the table, sending the action to his opponent. After a few moments the player bet 3,600 and it was back on Van der Fluit. He thought and thought and though, before thinking some more. Eventually Van der Fluit opted to make the call and the two players would turn their hands over.

Van der Fluit: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Van der Fluit's second pair was good enough to send his opponent's cards into the muck and see the pot sent his way.

Bardah Makes the Right River Call

From under the gun, a player raised to 325. Another player called from middle position and then 2012 World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Ronnie Bardah called from the cutoff seat. Everyone else folded and the players were off to a flop.

"You got it? You got it?" joked Bardah to the preflop raiser who didn't respond.

The dealer then ran out the {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and action checked around to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. The first player bet 875 and the second player folded. Bardah made the call.

The river was the {A-Clubs} and the first player bet 1,575. Bardah took a minute and then called.

The under-the-gun player showed the {A-Spades}{4-Spades} and a pair of aces, playing the kickers on board. Bardah turned over the {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for a pair of aces with a ten kicker and won the pot.

Here's Bardah's winner interview he did with PokerNews video hostess Sarah Grant after his victory in the $2,500 Limit Hold'em - Six-Handed.

Savage Sinks a Little

The under the gun player raised it up to 250, and Matt Savage called from middle position. Action then folded around to the button who three-bet to around 1,100. The under the gun player folded, and Savage made the call; coming along for the ride.

The dealer fanned three cards in the middle of the felt and they looked like this, {5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Savage was first up and he tapped the felt for a check. The button's response to this was to bet out 1,025. Savage made the call and the dealer released the {10-Spades} on the turn. It was here that we had a repeat of action with Savage checking and the button betting out, this time for 1,725. With a slight shrug of the shoulders, Savage made the call.

The {10-Clubs} landed on the river and both players seemed to have had enough and checked.

Savage was the first to flip his cards over and he showed {6-Spades}{4-Spades}, the button flipped over {A-}{A-} for a pair of aces and the winning hand.

A Little Pot

We caught up with Jonathan Little looking down at a board of {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Little was heads up in the pot with about 4,000 chips in the middle.

Little's opponent bet 1,500 after the river fell and Little flung out a call.

"Ugh," Little's opponent said. "Ace-high". Little's opponent showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

Little tabled {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} for trip queens and was able to drag in the pot. Little is currently sitting at 33,000.

Duhamel Shooting Blanks

Jonathan Duhamel and Sasquatch
Jonathan Duhamel and Sasquatch

A player in middle position opened to 250, another player behind him three-bet to 650, and Jonathan Duhamel cold-called on the button. The original raiser three-bet to 1,750, and both the re-raiser and Duhamel called.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, and the action checked to Duhamel, who fired 2,525. Both players called.

The turn was the {9-Spades}, the action checked to Duhamel again, and he fired a second bullet worth 4,650. Both players again called.

All three players checked when the {q-Clubs} completed the board, and the original raiser tabled {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}. Both Duhamel and the third player mucked their hands, and the 2010 Champ is down to 20,300 chips.

Nacho, Nacho Man, I Want to Be a Nacho Man

A player in early position raised to 300 and found a call from Nacho Barbero in middle position. The big blind also came along for the ride and it was three-way action to the {J-Spades}{K-Clubs}{A-Spades} flop.

It went check-check to Barbero, who wasted little time in firing out a bet of 625. The big blind made the call, the original raiser got out of the way, and the {9-Clubs} peeled off on the turn. This time the small blind check-called a bet of 1,700 before checking the {3-Hearts} river. Barbero took the opportunity to bet a healthy 4,100, which proved enough to take down the pot as the small blind simply folded.
