Crain Flirting with 200k

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Three players including Eric Crain and Kevin O'Donnell took a flop of {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. The first player checked and Crain fired 9,000 into the middle. O'Donnell announced a raise of pot which was enough to put his own stack all in. The first player folded and Crain snapped it off, tabling {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}. O'Donnell let out a sigh.

"You haaaaaad to have it," O'Donnell lamented, showing {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

"Oh, wow," chimed Crain back.

The turn brought the {10-Clubs} and the river the {J-Diamonds}, ensuring that Crain would drag in this pot. He's now sitting on about 188,000 in chips.

Halvorson Sends One Packing

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

We arrived at the table to find the aftermath of a hand where Nicolas Halvorson sent a player to the rail. Halvorson's opponent opened with a raise of pot and it came around to Halvorson who potted it back. His opponent called and the flop brought {6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}. The rest of the money went in on the flop and the hands were tabled.

Halvorson: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}

Halvorson was ahead and needed to fade clubs on the next two streets. He did exactly that as the {5-Diamonds} turned and the {2-Hearts} rivered. Halvorson was able to drag the pot and now sits on about 140,000.

Purvis Versus Dykshteyn

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Blake Purvis opened to 4,000 from mid-position and he called when Ruslan Dykshteyn made it 10,000 to go from the cutoff. Both players checked on {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Spades} and the dealer brought out the turn: {9-Clubs}. Purvis bet out 10,000 and Dykshteyn called almost immediately. The river was the {J-Spades} and this time Purvis bet out a mere 8,500. Dykshteyn again called quickly and showed up with a winner. Purvis showed {J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for a rivered second-pair while Dykshteyn showed {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}.

Danny "Miami Boss" Suied Eliminated in 39th Place ($3,409)

Dan "Miami Boss" Suied opened under-the-gun to 6,000 and saw Gabriel Alarie in middle-position repot. When action folded back to Suied he called allin for about 18,000 total. Alarie showed his {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Suied tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. Suied was not in luck though as the flop was queen high: {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Suied asked for a king or ten but to no avail: {9-Hearts} on the turn and {J-Hearts}. Suied is going home, Alarie is playing 82,000 now.

Jeffrey Doubes in Dramatic Race

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

We found Dennis Jeffrey all in and at risk before the flop holding {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} against Nicolas Halvorson's {A-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

The flop came down {6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, keeping Jeffrey's queens in the lead. Halvorson still had a ton of outs, though, with hearts to make a flush or pairing either of his hole cards.

The board paired with the {6-Spades} on the turn. The dealer delivered a heart on the river, allowing Halvorson to pump his fist as he made his flush. The river, however, was the {Q-Hearts}, giving Jeffrey queens full of sixes and the best hand. Jeffrey was able to double to about 68,000.

The Cowboy is Out

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante
Edward Brogdon (here in event 10)
Edward Brogdon (here in event 10)

As we arrived Edward Brogdon was already all in. We had {2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} as a flop and Robert Corcione checked to the button who checked behind. {10-Spades} on the turn and Corcione bet out 5,000. This made the button fold and Brogdon had to show his hand. He was about to muck though, as he was already drawing dead since Corcione showed {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Brogdon revealed he was playing {9-Spades}{Q-Spades}. The {8-Spades} river was unnecessary and Brogdon departed.

Cunningham Climbing

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Allen Cunningham raised the button to 3,500 and chip-leader Robert Corcione three-bet it to 8,500 from the small blind. The big blind got out of the way and Cunningham tossed in a call.

A diamond-filled flop fell that read {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Corcione fired 12,000 and Cunningham sat pondering for some time. Suddenly, Cunningham spoke.

"All in," he said.

Cunningham's all in was for roughly 38,000 and Corcione went into the tank. Eventually he threw his hand away and Cunningham took down the pot. The five-time WSOP bracelet winner is now sitting on a stack of about 72,000.
