Baldwin Takes From Hennigan

Level 7

Hold'em

We found John Hennigan and Eric Baldwin heads up in a raised pot. Baldwin, in the small blind to start the hand, bet the {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop, and Hennigan made the call. Hennigan then folded to Baldwin's turn bet after the {j-Diamonds} hit.

Habib Wins Battle of the Blinds

Level 7

Hold'em

Action folded to the small blind, who raised to 800. Hasan Habib called from the big blind. On a flop of {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}, the small blind led out, and Habib raised. After his opponent called and checked the {2-Clubs} turn, Habib bet out, and his opponent once again called. On the {a-Spades} river, Habib continued his aggression, prompting a fold.

Filippi Getting Low

Level 6

Razz

Noted mixed-game player Amnon Filippi is down to a very short stack after a recent Razz pot. Filippi, showing an ace-jack, called his opponent, holding a six-king, on fourth street. Filippi called again when he caught a six and his opponent a ten.

Filippi: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}
Opponent: {6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

A king arrived for Filippi on sixth. He cursed in frustration, mucking his cards.

World Leader

Level 6

Stud

John Hennigan has been busy collecting chips. In a recent hand, "Johnny World" completed with the {7-Spades} after another player had called the bring-in with the {6-Spades} showing. The bring-in, with the {2-Diamonds} called, as did the original caller. Hennigan led out on every street until the river, with both other players calling. On the river, all three players checked, with the following boards:

Hennigan: {x-}{x-}/{7-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}/{x-}
Opponent 1: {x-}{x-}/{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}/{x-}
Opponent 2: {x-}{x-}{2-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}/{x-}

Hennigan showed {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for a full house, and both his opponents mucked. Hennigan is now up to 20,000 in chips.

Raymer and Sexton out

Level 6

Greg Raymer, 2004 WSOP Main Event Champion, is no longer in his seat. It appears he has busted out of the tournament. The same is true of Mike Sexton, renowned poker announcer.

Elsewhere in the room, the entertaining Chris "C-Unit" Steffan has also been eliminated, Todd Brunson is down to 2,000, Dan Kelly is holding steady at 5,000, and Barry Greenstein sits with 5,600.
