Level 14

Stud Eight or Better

Sam Grizzle was betting it down and being called by one opponent.

Bach Firing Bullets, Taking Pots

Level 14
David Bach
David Bach

Stud

David "Gunslinger" Bach and three other players put in a complete bet on third street, then all checked fourth street. On fifth street, Jeremy Ensrud bet with {7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} on his board. Bach called showing {k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, Andrew Brown folded, and Jack Deutsch tanked for a minute before calling. Ensrud received the {5-Hearts} on sixth street and checked his open pair of tens. Bach, who added the {q-Diamonds} to his board, bet out. Deutsch reluctantly folded, and Ensrud tanked for about a minute before folding as well.

Bach chipped up to 55,000 without a showdown.

Tepen Finished

Level 14

Stud

Ryan Tepen completed the bet with a queen, and his opponent raised to isolate with a nine. Everyone else folded, and Tepen put the last of his chips in.

Tepen: {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}/{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}/{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

Tepen was ahead after sixth, but his opponent had picked up an open-ended straight draw and a diamond flush draw, while Tepen still only had one pair. Tepen's opponent got the {a-Diamonds} to complete his flush, and Tepen was drawing dead.

Andy Bloch Eliminated

Level 14

Stud Eight or Better

Andy Bloch, runner up of the 2006 WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, has been eliminated. On his last hand, Bloch was all in for his last 1,100, and only Andreas Krause was the only caller. When the dealer ran out the players' boards, Krause made two pair, eights and fours. Bloch showed only a pair of deuces and has been eliminated.

Dan Kelly is lurking with an average stack.
Dan Kelly is lurking with an average stack.

Razz

Dan Kelly fired fifth, sixth and seventh with a jack-high board against an opponent's jack-high board. Kelly had three babies to go with it, while his opponent had three to a six-low. Kelly's opponent folded on seventh, and Kelly, who was down to just five big bets recently, is now building momentum.

Heimiller Takes Huge Pot; Sylvia Short-Stacked

Level 14

Razz

We arrived at the table on the river, with three players involved and a small mountain of chips in the middle. The players' boards were:

Jesse Syvlia: {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Dan Heimiller: {k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Stewart Yancik: {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Sylvia folded to a river bet, and Heimiller showed [ax3x4]/{k-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a hidden wheel. Yancik folded, and Heimiller raked in a huge pot. He's now up to 84,000, while Sylvia is short-stacked with 8,000.
