We're 10 Away From the Money
We started out with 2,105 players yesterday in this star packed $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event. After eleven levels of play there's just 226 remaining. 216 players will cash at a minimum of $2,898. On this second day of play we have 10 levels on the schedule. All the players still in the tournament try to secure a seat at the final table which will guarantee a $38,178 pay day. The winner, which we'll be crowning tomorrow on day 3, will take home more than half a million; $518,755.
Levon Khachatryan leads with 176,100 in chips. If you think about the fact that everyone started out with just 4,500 in chips, you can imagine the day he had yesterday. There's a couple of players more with more than 100,000 in chips. Amongst them Matt Jarvis, the former November Niner bagged 101,300.
There's are more than enough other recognizable faces left in the tournament. Matt Matros will try to win another bracelet this year and make it four in a row. Barry Greenstein looks due for another wristband and his team members Joe Cada and Vanessa Selbst are also still in contention.

Its a beautiful afternoon as the remaining 226 players have taken their seat and the cards are in the air. Stay alert as only 10 players are left until we hit the money.
Joseph Elpayaa Goes for the Double Knock Out

The cutoff just shoved allin for about 8,000 and the player on the button followed his lead and shoved for 2,200. Joseph Elpayaa in the small blind announced all in and had both players, and the big blind, easily covered. The big blind folded and we had the first three way all in of the day. Elpaya brought

Elpayaa was the mathematical favorite to win the hand but wouldn't come out on top:

. The cutoff almost trippled, the button departed and Elpayaa lost some chips but still has plenty left.
Welch Bets Big on River

The board was reading 
and Ryan Welch fired out a big bet of 19,500. His opponent went deep into the tank as it was for most of his chips. After some thought he could not figure what Welch was holding and released his hand. Welch decided to show one of his cards and he showed the 
. That did nothing for the board and it looked like he might have snag a pot off his opponent with a well-timed bluff.

Carson Busts One

Bracelet winner Mike Carson is playing a lot of events so far this year, and doing fairly well. He has a stack in this tournament and just added some chips to that.
The player under-the-gun opened to 2,700 and from the button Carson made it 11,000. When both blinds folded the under-the-gun player shoved all in for 14,400 total. Carson made the call and tabled . He was up against

That was a quick bubble, we didn't even play hand for hand. People were not holding back and for some of them that costed. Players are guaranteed $2,898 and they'll keep on paying out that amount till we reach 171 players.
Flack Out

flop we saw 18,000 in front of Layne Flack while his opponent on the button had 4,200 in front of him and the decision to either fold, or call Flack's all in. He chose the latter and turned over 
. Flack showed his 
and had to hope for some aces and queens to keep him in the tournament. The on the turn was a paint card but not the right one. The 
on the river wasn't either and that was the end of it for Flack.
"Good call" said Flack without any double meaning to his words. "See you guys, good luck!" Flack said to all the players at the table. Flack is on his way to the pay-out desk for the first time this summer.
