Event #17: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em

Day 1 Started

It's Time for Another $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Tournament

We already had the $1,500 "Millionaire Maker", won by Benny Chen for $1,198,780, the $1,500 shorthanded, won by John Beauprez for $324,764 and the $1,500 Limit Hold'em won by Brent Wheeler $191,605. Another one is down to the last two tables but the World Series of Poker train stops for no one and we're firing up another $1,500 tournament today.

We'll be playing eleven levels today and we start at noon. Another big field is expected with a mix of amateurs giving it a go, and bracelet hunting professionals joining them. We'll be your source for updates through out the day. Our first focus will be to bring you the names of all the recognizable faces we see in the field. Later on we'll put effort in bringing you hand updates from all the interesting people playing in this event.

We're ready for another day of no-limit hold'em action. Are you?

Two Former November Niners (and Katz)

Level 1 : 25/25, 0 ante

John Dolan and Ylon Schwartz are housed in the the Pavilion Room. They'll be breaking the Pavilion Room first so they won't be here for to long we expect. The clock tells us that there are 1,748 players in the field so far. That's still a little under the 1,819 set by event 14, but registrationis still open.
