Yuval Bronshtein (here in event 13)

As we approached Yuval Bronshtein's table he was involved in a three way hand on the flop: {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. We were just to late to witness the flop action but we have the suspicion it was checked around. On the turn the dealer brought out the {6-Spades} and after a check from the big blind, Bronshtein bet 75. Both the button and the big blind made the call and the final card hit the table: {10-Hearts}. The big blind checked again and Bronshtein tossed in three 100 chips. The player on the button made it 950 and the big blind folded after a little thinking. Bronshtein made the call however, but had to muck when the button showed {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flopped full house. "That's a good hand" Bronshtein replied while he quietly mucked his cards.

Jaka Catches Runner Runner

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

We arrived on the flop as Faraz Jaka bet out 100 on {5-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} from the under-the-gun position. The small blind, the only other player involved in the hand, made the call. The turn was the {7-Clubs} and both players opted to check. The {7-Hearts} fell on the river and the small bind bet out 225. Jaka raised it up to 800 and after a minute of thinking the small blind made the call. Jaka showed {7-Spades}{9-Spades} for a missed open-ended who made runner runner trips. The small blind shaked his head once, and mucked. Jaka is still down 500 chips for the day with around 4,000 in chips.

Meinders Makes Two Pair

Level 2 : 25/50, 0 ante

Liv Boeree opened for 125 from the cutoff and got two callers; the button and Brian Meinders in the big blind. {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} on the flop and after a check from Meinders, Boeree bet out 250. Both her opponents made the call and the {J-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. This time Meinders bet out 575 and just the button made the call, Boeree folded. {Q-Clubs} on the river and now Meinders made it 1,625. The player on the button thought for a while, counted his chips, and then called. He couldn't beat Meinders {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} though and had to muck. The 2012 bracelet winner is off to a great start.
