Chidwick Doubles Through Brunson

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 0 ante

Todd Brunson raised it up in early position, and Stephen Chidwick three bet it next to act. Everyone else folded, and the betting was capped preflop, with Chidwick having barely less then a big bet left. The flop came {k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, and the rest of it got in the middle.

Chidwick: {7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Brunson: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Brunson was looking for a heart to take the whole pot, or running low cards to take half, but the latter went out the window when the {10-Diamonds} hit the turn. The river was the {6-Spades}, and Chidwick's ace-king kicker played, giving him the full double up.
