Still Rocking Chips

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

Welcome to the Tournament Gentlemen

Level 5 : 100/200, 0 ante

On our latest sweep through the Brasilia Room we saw a lot of new players. Most of them were waiting near the table where late registrants are supposed to go, some of them were already seated and we had just missed before. These players are all playing the $1,000 though, that's for sure:

Loeser's a Winner

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Manig Loeser is having a good summer so far with a cash in a $1,000 event (269th for $2,107), a runner up finish to John Beauprez for $200,698 and... a cash in a $350 tournament in a different casino for $491. He's off to a good start so far in this $1,000 event. Just now he got some new chips as his opponent just shoved all in on the turn when the board read {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{J-Spades} | {5-Hearts}. Loeser (under-the-gun) made the call with {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} while his opponent (big blind) had {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. The river {K-Spades} didn't change a thing and Loeser is cruising again.

Esfandiari Gone

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

We walked up to Antonio Esfandiari's table just as he went all in for his last 250. A few opponents called, and then there was a raise by one opponent that drove out all but one other player and Esfandiari.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, and one opponent raised to get heads-up with Esfandiari. His opponent showed {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}, and Esfandiari reluctantly showed {j-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The turn and river came {6-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts}, which was no good for Esfandiari, causing him to be eliminated toward the end of level 4.

VIDEO: Event #25 Champion Danny Fuhs

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

While we play down to a winner in this event, check out one of our latest champions, Danny Fuhs. He was overjoyed with his bracelet win in the WSOP Event #25, a $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low 8-or-Better tournament. Sarah spoke with him just after he clinched the title.
