Mcnamee Finally Succumbs

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

After a player limped from the hijack, Andrew Mcnamee moved all in from the cutoff for roughly 28,000. Eric Blair, who was on the button, didn't have much more but moved all in over the top. The blinds folded, as did Mcnamee, and the cards were turned up.

Mcnamee: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Blair: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}

It was a race, but one that Mcnamee would not win as the board ran out {8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades}. Not a bad run for Mcnamee as he began the day as one of the shortest stacks.

Anderson Betting Big

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On a board reading {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Calvin Anderson bet out 21,700. Ami Alibay made a tough driven call. The river fell the {8-Diamonds} and Anderson bet out 36,000. Alibay wanted to call but decided to put his chips away and fold. Anderson is now up to 185,000

Salsberg Doubles Through Mcnamee

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Matt Salsberg
Matt Salsberg

Andrew Mcnamee, who began the day on a short stack but received some early doubles, opened for 4,000 from the cutoff and was met by an all-in three-bet from reigning World Poker Tour Player of the Year Matt Salsberg. The bet was 36,400 more to Mcnamee and he made the call.

Mcnamee: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Salsberg: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

"Jack of clubs," Salsberg told the dealer. While he didn't get that cards, he got five safe ones as the board ran out {4-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Timoshenko Finds a Ten to Stay Alive

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko got his stack of 26,000 all in preflop holding the {J-Hearts}{10-Spades} and needed some help to overcome the {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} of John Beauprez. The {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} flop didn't do it, but the {10-Clubs} turn did as Timoshenko, who finish runner-up to Jake Cody in the 2011 World Series of Poker $25,000 No Limit Hold'em Heads-Up Championship for $525,980, made a pair to take the lead. The {7-Clubs} river pair Beauprez, but it wasn't big enough as Timoshenko doubled through.

Hobson led out for 11,100 which prompted Mustafa to push all in for 45,900 total. Hobson could not stand the heat and folded.

Duhamel Runs Into Aces; Cada Chipping Up

Level 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Jonathan Duhamel
Jonathan Duhamel

With around 7,000 in the pot and a board reading {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event champ Jonathan Duhamel bet 5,500 from the big blind and Zohar Spivack called from the hijack. When the {J-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Duhamel bet 8,000 and Spivack called. Duhamel confidently tabled the {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for a rivered paid of jacks, but it was no good as Spivack rolled over the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}!

Meanwhile, 2009 WSOP Main Event champ Joe Cada added a little to his stack when he three-bet the small-blinds bet of 5,000 up to 14,000 and inspired a fold.

Solomon Races for His Tournament Life

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Zohar Spivack opened for 3,200 under the gun only to have South Africa's Jarred Solomon move all in for 26,600 from the hijack. Martin Malone was in the cutoff and asked for a count before moving all in over the top. The button, blinds and Spivack all folded, and the cards were turned up.

Solomon: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Malone: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}

It was a classic flip and Solomon seemed hopeful, though not after the flop fell a dry {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. Solomon stood and prepared to exit, which he made after the {4-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river blanked. According to the tournament director, Solomon finished in 61st place.
