Benger Doubles Through Moorman

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

With the board reading {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}, Griffin Benger checked and Chris Moorman bet out 600. Benger then check-raised to 1200, and Moorman tanked for about a minute before putting out the chips for a call. The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and Benger immediately moved all in for 3,200. Moorman counted out the chips for a call and made his decision much more quickly than he had when facing Benger's flop raise. He called and turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Benger had {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for top pair, and Moorman would need help. The {7-Clubs} on the river didn't provide it, and Benger doubled up.

Despite losing this hand, Moorman still has 42,000 in chips, while Benger is up to 12,000.

Schneider Gets Involved For Half His Stack

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

The action started with the cutoff who made a raise to 600. The button decided to re-raise to 1,550. Tom Schneider was next to act and made it 5,050 to go. The cutoff folded and then the button shipped all in.

Schneider asked for a count and it was a tad under 10,000 for him to call. After lamenting his options Schneider called. The two flipped over their cards.

Schneider: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Schneider needed help to win and eliminate his opponent. The flop came {6-Spades}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. That took Schneider from being a small dog to a big underdog. The turn made it official with the {5-Spades}. The meaningless {q-Hearts} gave the pot to Schneider's opponent.

Schneider will need some work to get back to his stack before the hand. After the hand Schneider had 13,800 in chips.

Charania On Wrong Side of Flip

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

We walked up to the table as Charania was facing an all in raise from his opponent of 12,000 preflop. Charania called, tabling {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, while his opponent showed {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The flop came down {q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, meaning that Charania could now catch one of the two remaining jacks for a straight. Those outs went out the window when the {q-Spades} hit the turn, as a jack would now give his opponent a boat. The river was the {7-Diamonds}, and Charania lost most of his chips, as he now has just 6,500.

Clements Aggressively Chipping Up

Level 7 : 150/300, 25 ante

Before the break, we caught Scott Clements chipping up with a little preflop aggression. Facing a raise to 400 and a reraise to 1050, Clements four-bet by pushing forward 5,000. Both other players folded and Clements took the pot.

Clements continued this approach after dinner break with higher blinds. Facing a raise to 625, Clements three-bet to 2,500 and received no callers. He now sits with 9,500 in chips.

Masek's Opponent Only Has One Barrel

Level 6 : 100/200, 25 ante

Alex Masek called a raise from a late position player and a caller from the small blind. The three players took to a flop of {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Masek checked and the initial raiser bet. The third player got out of the way and Masek called. The two checked the {3-Spades}. The river {2-Clubs} gave Masek no reason to bet as he checked. His opponent thought about it for a moment but decided to check.

Masek flipped over {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for middle pair on the flop. His opponent bluffed the flop and gave up with {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. With that pot Masek moved up to 22,000.
