Plenty of Extras Being Given Away At This Year's WSOP

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The buzz inside the walls of the Rio extends beyond just the tournaments on the 2013 World Series of Poker schedule. Online poker in Nevada is a very, very hot topic right now, and WSOP.com is making a lot of noise.

While the site has yet to launch, you can head to the Lambada Room of the Rio or look for one of the beautiful and friendly WSOP.com ladies walking the hallways to sign up for a free, personal WSOP.com online poker account. This is a great way to get a jump on the site's registration, and plenty of people have already taken this opportunity.

What's more is that the WSOP will be hosting daily raffles for everyone that has taken the time to register for WSOP.com at the Rio. What can you win? Plenty of fantastic prizes including 36 WSOP seats!

Players 21 years of age and older who sign up for a WSOP.com account will automatically be entered into the “36-Seat Giveaway” where a randomly-selected winner will win a seat into the next day’s first WSOP gold bracelet event. One of the events eligible in this promotion is the $111,111 One Drop High Roller No-Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to feature a $10,000,000 prize pool and allow you to play poker with the biggest names in the game. In total, $182,333 in WSOP seats, including a seat to the WSOP Main Event, are being given away during this one-of-a-kind WSOP.com promotion.

In addition to the 36-Seat Giveaway, a “Hot Seat” promotion will allow any player who signs up for a WSOP.com online account and wears their WSOP.com patch on their chest at the table while playing an event to be randomly selected to receive 500 bonus dollars deposited directly into their WSOP.com online account once the site has received all regulatory approvals and launches.

With 62 WSOP gold bracelet events and three winners promised for the Main Event, this promotion includes $32,000 worth of value to those participating.

Graves Busts Ausmus

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Dustin Graves raised it up to 6,500 in early position, and Jeremy Ausmus called on the button. The big blind also came along, and the flop came {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. It was checked to Graves, who fired out 8,500. Ausmus asked how much it was, then started tanking. After about 30 seconds, the big blind folded out of turn, and was forced to take his cards back. This may have influenced Ausmus's decision making, as after tanking for about two minutes, he moved all in for 72,000. It got back to Graves, and he quickly called.

Ausmus: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Graves: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Ausmus's middle pair was in rough shape against the pocket rockets of Graves, and the board would bring him no help, coming {j-Spades} and {5-Hearts}. After collecting that pot, Graves has jumped his stack up to 165,000.

Lichtenberger Loses An Important One

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Andrew Lichtenberger opened to 7,000 under-the-gun. Everybody folded to the small blind who shoved all in for exactly ten big blinds. The big blind folded and Lichtenberger, after some thinking, made the call. Lichtenberger showed {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and was dominated by the small blind's {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. No help for Lichtenberger with {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} | {2-Hearts} | {7-Clubs} on the table and he has to continue with just 19 big blinds.

Ausmus Doubles

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Jeremy Ausmus shoved under-the-gun plus one for 42,500. Action quickly folded to the big blind who made the call with his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Ausmus tabled {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and was in the lead after the flop: {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}. The {4-Clubs} on the turn didn't make a difference and neither did the {3-Hearts} on the river. Ausmus, with the higher full house, doubles to a little over 90,000.

Ausmus Does Not Get Lucky

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jeremy Ausmus just opened the button and his opponent in the big blind shoved for 52,700. After some thinking he made the call, but would soon find out he had a lot of catching up to do. Ausmus had {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and was up against {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. The board didn't help Ausmus: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} | {A-Diamonds} | {Q-Diamonds}. "I raise your hand every single time" Ausmus said with a smirk, explaining why he had to call the shove with a reasonable hand like pocket sevens.

Brandon Yu Chip Leader By A Mile

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Brandon Yu

A player walked by us standing near another table, and we overheard him saying to a friend something along the lines of "I just ran kings into aces preflop for the chip lead." We went to investigate his table, and sure enough, we saw Brandon "The Romantic" Yu stacking up a wave of big chips. Once he stacked it all up, we pegged his satack at 480,000, which is more then 200,000 clear of the rest of the field!

Even crazier, we were told that on the big hand, one player at the table folded queens and another folded Ace-King!
