Eiler Doubles Through Alaei

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After a raise to an unknown amount from Andreas Eiler on the button and a three-bet to 56,000 from the small blind by Daniel Alaei, Eiler moved all in for 207,000. Alaei made the call, and the cards were on their backs.

Eiler showed the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for a big overpair against Alaei's {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, and Eiler doubled up.

Mercier Loses More Doubling Abdallah

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

From under the gun, George Abdallah raised to an unknown amount before Jason Mercier three-bet to 51,000 from the next seat. Everyone folded back to Abdallah, and he moved all in for 200,000 even. Mercier called with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, but was behind the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} for Abdallah.

Mercier found no help on the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} board as Abdallah's kings held up. Abdallah doubled to over 400,000 while Mercier dropped to under 150,000.

Where Did It All Go Wong?

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We picked up the action on a {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Spades} flop when Nick Wong moved all in for 247,000 and Fabrice Touil tank-called off for 243,000.

Wong: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
Touil: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Wong had flopped the nut flush draw while Touil had top pair. Wong was looking for a spade, but he came up empty when the {4-Clubs} appeared on the turn followed by the {4-Diamonds} river. Touil doubled on the hand while Wong was left with just 4,000.

In the next hand, the flop read {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Wong was already all in. Shaun Deeb and Touil were battling for a side pot and the former check-called a bet of 22,000 from the latter. Deeb then check-called another bet, this one 74,000, on the {q-Diamonds} turn, and then both players checked the {k-Clubs} river.

Touil tabled the {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for a set, Deeb mucked and then Wong showed {7-Spades}{6-Clubs} before taking his leave from the tournament.

Julius Doubles, Then Doubles Abdallah

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Alaei raised to 28,000 from early position, Jason Koon called on his direct left, and Kyle Julius moved all in for 311,000 on his direct left. The action folded to Dan Shak in the small blind, and he moved all in having everyone covered. Alaei and Koon quickly folded.

Julius: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Shak: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Julius won the race as the board came {4-Spades}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, doubling to over 700,000 chips.

A few hands later, Julius lost all of the chips he gained to George Abdallah. Abdallah was all in and at risk preflop for 394,000 with {k-}{k-} against Julius' {a-}{k-}. The board rolled out {q-}{j-}{9-}{5-}{6-}, and Abdallah doubled.

Robl's Heater Continues; Busts Elias

Level 14 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

We're not sure of how the action went down, but we do know that Andrew Robl and Darren Elias just clashed in a big pot that resulted in the elimination of the latter.

Elias got his chips in with the {6-Spades}{6-Clubs} only to run into the {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} of Robl. The board ran out a clean {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Elias was sent to the rail. The table then went on to remark that Robl could not be stopped as he has built his stack up to 1.75 million here on Day 2.

Shaun Deeb

Matt Glantz raised to 26,000 from the hijack seat, Shaun Deeb three-bet to 71,000 in the cutoff, and Fabrice Touil cold-called in the big blind. Glantz folded, the dealer fanned {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and Touil checked. Deeb fired out 105,000, Touil raised to 295,000, and Deeb moved all in for 692,000.

Touil asked for the dealer to pull the bets in, which took a little bit of time, and after this was finished, Touil called. The Frenchman showed {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a set of sevens, annoying Deeb who showed {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Deeb was not annoyed by the turn card though, because the {j-Hearts} gave him a straight. The {4-Diamonds} completed the board, and Deeb doubled to 1.6 million chips.

Touil was left with just 76,000, and busted a few hands later to Steven Silverman. The chips went in preflop blind vs. blind, Silverman had {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, Touil had {q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and Silverman held.

Soon after that, Deeb eliminated Lee Markholt. Markholt open-jammed for around 140,000 from under the gun, and Deeb snap-called in the big blind with {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Markholt was crushed with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and the {4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop didn't improve his hand.

The {8-Clubs} fell on the turn, giving Markholt a set, but Deeb made a four flush when the {j-Clubs} completed the board.

Deeb now sits with 1.75 million chips.
