Finger Trips Up Esfandiari

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Martin Finger put in a raise, how much we're not sure, and received a call from Antonio Esfandiari. After the flop came down {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Finger bet 150,000 and Esfandiari called, bringing about the {3-Hearts} on the turn. Finger fired out 360,000, Esfandiari called and the {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Both players checked and Finger tabled the {q-Hearts}{6-Spades} for trips. It was good as Esfandiari mucked his hand.

Two Pair for Busquet

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Steve Gross raised to 130,000 from the cutoff seat to begin the action. His only customer was Olivier Busquet, who called out of the big blind to take a {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop out of position. On the flop, Busquet checked, and Gross did the same.

The turn was the {9-Hearts}, which was followed by a bet of 150,000 for Busquet. Gross called. Then, the {4-Hearts} landed on the river, and both players checked.

Busquet showed the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for two pair, and Gross mucked his hand.

Haralabos Voulgaris Eliminated

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Haralabos Voulgaris
Haralabos Voulgaris

After doubling up Mike Sexton, Haralabos Voulgaris was in the big blind and put his entire stack in the middle as his post, basically saying to the table that he wasn't folding. The floor made him pull it back and just place the big blind, but that didn't matter as Voulgaris was going with the hand anyway, as he would prove.

From the hijack seat, Connor Drinan raised to 120,000. Voulgaris moved all in from the big blind for a little over 200,000 total, and Drinan called. Voulgaris tabled the {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and was ahead of the {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs} that he was up against for Drinan.

The {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop kept Voulgaris in the lead, but the {9-Hearts} on the turn set him back as Drinan vaulted to the front with a pair of nines. The river completed the board with the {A-Diamonds} and also completed the tournament for Voulgaris. He was eliminated in 26th place, sending the rest of the tournament onto the official bubble.

Sexton Doubles Through Voulgaris

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Action folded to Haralabos Voulgaris in the cutoff seat, and he raised all in. Mike Sexton called all in for 565,000 on the button, and everyone else folded. Voulgaris showed the {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}, and Sexton had the {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and Sexton's jacks held to give him the double up. Voulgaris was left with about 225,000 in chips.

Drinan Misses and Can't Bluff Jacobson

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Martin Jacobson raised from under the gun to 125,000, and Connor Drinan called from the big blind to see the {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. Drinan checked, Jacobson bet 140,000, and Drinan called.

The turn was the {4-Spades}, and both players checked to see the {Q-Diamonds} fall on the river. Drinan led for 300,000, and Jacobson called.

Drinan showed the {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a busted flush draw and lost to Jacobson's {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

Gregg Shoves

Level 21 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Brandon Steven opened for 130,000 under the gun and Phil Laak, who was on his immediate left, made the call. Anthony Gregg came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Two checks put action on Laak, and he bet 190,000. Gregg made the call, Steven check-raised to around 450,000 and Laak folded. Gregg then moved all in roughly 1.7 million.

Steven tanked for quite a long time and then whispered, "Fold."
