Shulman Gets Some Back

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Stud- 8

Schulman: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} / {x-}
Litvinov: {x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{k-Spades} / {x-}

Allyn Shulman started the day second in chips, but her chips have slowly been trending downward as the day has gone on. However, she just scooped a nice pot in stud-8 against Artem Litvinov that has seen her stack rise back up to over 40,000. The action was very straight forward. Shulman led out on every single street, and Litvinov called her down the whole way. Schulman rolled over {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} in the hole for the ace high flush, and that bested Litvinov's kings and nines. Despite taking that hit, it's been a great day for Litvinov, who is still sitting on 58,500.

Wild Hand at Table #423

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Stud-8

Cantu: {x-}{x-} / {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} / {x-}
Ho: {x-}{x-} / {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades} / {x-}
Fujii: {x-}{x-} / {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Diamonds} / {x-}
Gallin: {x-}{x-} / {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades} / {x-}
Opponent 1: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} / {x-}

Your eyes do not decieve you. We just saw a hand at table 423 that saw five players make it all the way to seventh street. Lawrence Fujii, Brandon Cantu, and Opponent 1 were all in on third street, while Mario Ho and Jonathan Gallin were left to fight for a side pot. Both players checked on fourth street, and Gallin bet on fifth. Ho raised it up, and Gallin called. Both players checked again on sixth street, and Gallin bet out on seventh, with Ho making the call.

Gallin announced "threes full" and showed {3-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. Ho was clearly frustrated when she saw Gallin's hand, and we saw why when she showed the {9-Hearts} and {9-Spades} in the hole for an inferior trip nines. Cantu was shocked to see that he was the only player with a low, as he had the worst low possibe 8-4, but it was good enough to claim half the pot, while Fujii and the other player were eliminated.

Some Counts for Ya

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Chad Losses a Chunk

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

We caught up with the action on the turn, with the board reading {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Norman Chad was heads up with a short stacked opponent, and that player got all his money in on the turn. Chad made the call.

Chad: {4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}

Chad had a made six low, but that was no good, as his opponent had the wheel. Chad could still catch a club to chop half hte pot, but the {k-Hearts} hit the river. After losing that hand, Chad has dropped to 17,000.

Brown Busts... Smith and Danzer Thriving

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

We didn't get to the table until all of the chips were being chopped up, but we know that Chad Brown busted in a big Stud-8 pot that saw Justin "Boosted J" Smith and George Danzer reap the benefits. Danzer is up to over 30,000, while Smith has now eclipsed the 50k mark.

Straight Flush vs. Nut Flush

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Omaha- 8

We only caught the aftermath of the hand, but it was crazy enough that we had to post even without the action. Brett Jungblut and Adam Freidman were heads up on a completed board of {2-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Jungblut got the rest of his money in on the river, and he had to feel somewhat comfortable holding {a-Spades}{5-Spades}{x-}{x-} in his hand. However, Friedman said "I got it" and tabled {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{x-}{x-} for the straight flush! Jungblut was sent packing, while Friedman is back up to 33,000.

They Gone

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Here are a few players who have eliminated so far today.

Bakes And Clements Benefit in Huge Pot

Level 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Stud- 8

Clements: {x-}{x-} / {j-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} / {x-}
Baker: {x-}{x-} / {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} / {x-}
Opponent: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {x-}

We walked into the middle of a ginormous pot brewing between Scott Clements, David "Bakes" Baker, and another opponent. All three player had three bets in front of them when we arrived on fifth street, and on sixth street, Baker checked to their opponent, who bet out. Both Clements and Baker called, and the same happened on seventh street.

Their opponent announced "aces up" and showed {a-Diamonds} {a-Spades} {5-}. Clements showed {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} in the hole for trip jacks, and Baker said "I have a smooth eight," and showed {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}. Once everything was chopped up, Baker's stack was 42,000, while Clements now has 44,000.
