Catching the action on a {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop we found James Alexander checking to Roger Hendren in the cutoff who bet 225,000.

Alexander moved all in and Hendren called for his 826,000-chip stack.

Alexander: {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}
Hendren: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {j-Clubs} and {4-Diamonds} to see Hendren eliminated and Alexander push his stack upwards of 2,570,000.

Mortensen Doubles Again

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Carlos Mortensen
Carlos Mortensen

Carlos Mortensen put in a preflop raise, and Maxx Coleman three-bet to 250,000. Mortensen then re-raised all in for 712,000, and Coleman quickly called.

Mortensen: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}
Coleman: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The flop fell {10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, missing both players. The turn was the {k-Diamonds}, giving Coleman an open-ended straight draw. However, a queen would now give Mortensen a straight, and Mortensen held two of Coleman's straight outs. However, it was a good card for Coleman, increasing his outs from two to six. The dealer then put the {j-Clubs} on the felt for the river, and Mortensen doubled up.

This is Mortensen's second double up in the past few hands, and he now has 1,526,000

Back-to-Back Pots Put Jaffe Over Five Million

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jonathan Jaffe raised it up to 52,000 in middle position, and Rep Porter reraised it to 112,000 on the button. Jaffe called to see a flop of {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} come out, and both players checked. The turn brought the {6-Spades}, and Jaffe bet out 122,000. Porter called, and when the {2-Spades} hit the river, Jaffe moved all in. Porter folded, and Jaffe took down the pot.

On the next hand, Jaffe 52,000, Porter called from the cutoff. The flop ran down {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, and Jaffe tossed out 64,000. Porter called, and both players would go on to check the {5-Clubs} turn, and the {j-Clubs} river. Jaffe showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for ace high, and it was good enough to beat Porter, who mucked his hand.

Watts Can't Lose

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Kima Kimura opened to 51,000 from middle position, before being met with a raise to 125,000 from Steven Watts to her left.

She made the call, as both saw the flop come down {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. Kimura checked, before Watts quickly bet out 250,000. With only 345,000 behind, Kimura opted to fold.

Watts then showed his {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} as he raked in the pot.

“I got my lucky massager. I can’t lose,” Watts added after the hand.

Steve Gee Doubles Through Jason Cohen

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Clement Tripodi opened to 48,000 in early position and Sam Abueid called from the hijack. Steve Gee three-bet to 125,000 on the button, followed by Jason Cohen four-betting all from the big blind. Tripodi and Abueid folded, but Gee snap called all in for 938,000 with {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. Cohen trailed with {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

The flop fell {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, safe for Gee. The {K-Clubs} turn gave Cohen a few outs and even though the surrounding crowed let out a giant "ohhhhhhh" as the {A-Hearts} river fell, Gee locked up the double.

Nicolas Le Floch raised to 52,000 from under the gun and got a couple of callers from the blinds in David Paredes (SB) and Matthew Huey (BB).

All three checked the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} flop. The turn brought the {2-Diamonds}. Paredes checked, Huey bet 75,000, Le Floch folded, and Paredes called.

The river was the {A-Spades}. This time Paredes put out a short stack of green (25,000) chips for a bet of 225,000, and after pausing a few seconds Huey folded.

Pollock Takes One from Mann

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Josh Pollock entered the pot with a raise to 50,000 only to have Jason Mann three-bet the cutoff to 135,000. Pollock called before both players checked the {2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop.

The turn of the {2-Hearts} saw Pollock lead for 135,000 with Mann calling as the {3-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Pollock pushed out 265,000 and Mann went into the tank for close to three minutes before folding while slipping to below 2.9 million as Pollock climbed to just over 1.8 million in chips.

Jonathan Jaffe Takes the Chip Lead

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

Goran Mandic started the action with a raise to 50,000 from under the gun +1, and action folded to Jonathan Jaffe on the button. He repopped it to 112,000, and when it folded back to Mandic, he reraised to 252,000. Jaffe called, and the flop came down {3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Mandic didn't take long to fire out 200,000, and Jaffe stuck around to see the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Mandic checked this time, as did Jaffe, and the river was the {7-Hearts}.

Both players checked again, and Jaffe tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Mandic mucked his hand, and with that pot, Jaffe is the new chip leader with 4.602 million.

Morgenstern Picks Off Other Morgenstern for Massive Pot

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Anton Morgenstern took a chip lead.
Anton Morgenstern took a chip lead.

We found two Morgensterns, Gad and Anton, heads up on the end with a pot of about 700,000 already built up. Anton fired a small bet of 150,000 with the board reading {6-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Gad asked for a count, then pushed all in after about a minute. Anton thought for a bit before tossing out a few orange chips to indicate a call.

Gad leaned back in his chair, stretched his arms and shook his head slightly. Anton flipped over {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for an overpair after Gad showed {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} for ace-high.

"How do you call with that?" Gad said quietly.

He was forced to ship 1,604,000 to his like-named opponent.
