Andrews Doubles Through Steinberg

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Cherish Andrews raised to 4,500 on the button. Steinberg found a three bet from the big blind to 12,000. Andrews counted her chips before moving all in for roughly 100,000. Steinberg took a second to get a count before calling.

Andrews: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Steinberg: {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}

It was the {J-Hearts} in the window which was sure to hurt Andrews, but the entire flop rolled out {7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts}. "Nice hand," Steinberg said as he started to count out chips. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the tiver was the {10-Diamonds}, guaranteeing Andrews the double up.

Andrews and Steinberg are now back to just about even stacks.

Three Tables Heads Up

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Three of the shootout's ten tables are now heads-up. At each of those tables, there is a clear chip leader, but the shorter stack has plenty of maneuvering room. Max Steinberg has a lead over Cherish Andrews, Brandon Cantu is leading Steven Silverman, and David "Bakes" Baker has a chip-advantage over Adam Friedman. All three heads-up battles are intense, back-and-forth contests, and it may still be a while before we have our first table winner.

Josephy Eliminates Parker

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Cliff Josephy, Dan O'Brien, and Brock Parker saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Parker and Josephy both checked, and O'Brien bet 5,600 from the button. Parker shipped all-in, and Josephy thought for a minute before calling. O'Brien folded, and the other players turned up their cards:

Josephy: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Parker: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Josephy had top pair, but Brock Parker was very live with an open-ended straight flush draw. Unfortunately for Parker, he missed both turn and river, and has now been eliminated from the tournament. Cliff Josephy is up to 194,000.

Salsberg Busts One

Level 15 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

With the board reading {6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} Matt Salsberg was holding {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} against another player's {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. It was good enough for a knock out and Salsberg raked in the chips. His table is now four handed.

Steinberg Wins 300k Flip

Level 14 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In one of the first hands of heads up Andrews and Steinberg have already gotten in all in.

Preflop Steinberg raised to 3,800. Andrews three bet to 10,000. Steinberg then decided to put in a fourth bet to 23,800. Andrews then made a fifth bet to 70,000.

This is where Steinberg paused. He took almost two minutes before announcing that he was all in. Andrews snap called him and the two were off to the races.

Andrews: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Steinberg: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Steinberg doubled through Andrews. Andrews still has chips though and with the blinds so small, it's still anyone's game.
