Herzali Falls

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sarah Herzali’s tournament is over, she moved all in for a total of 119,000 and big blind Daniel Strelitz made the call. Herzali held {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and was against Strelitz’s {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Strelitz collected more chips and Herzali headed for the pay out desk.

Sowers Crests One Million

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Mike Sowers made it 20k, Jason Wheeler responded with a bump to 51k and Sowers shoved.

Wheeler made the quick call for his tournament life and 380k and showed {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Sowers held {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and spiked an ace on the {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop.

The board ran out with the {8-Hearts} and {5-Spades} and Wheeler hit the road.

Sowers now holds close to 1.3 Million and the chip lead.

Tanner Turned Out

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Tanner Millen had a rather large stack a few levels ago, now what was left of it after he lost a few key pots sits among the rest of Daniel Strelitz chips.

Strelitz raised it up from the button, Millen shipped the small blind for 130k and Strelitz made the obvious call with {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Millen's {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} liked the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop, but the {q-Spades} turn was another story, making Strelitz an unbeatable boat.

Bonomo Tops a Million

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Justin Bonomo had made it 52,000 when Alejandro Jauregui moved all in for around 200,000. Bonomo took a while to make the call. When he did, he flipped over {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}. Jauregui had {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The cards ran out {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

Just a few hands later, Bonomo picked up {k-}{k-} to knock yet another opponent out to really get the ball rolling and become the first player in the tournament to amass over one million chips, overtaking Sowers at the same table.

Immekus Lanced

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Nicholas Immekus got a little short and shoved his last 90k with {k-}{3-} right into Lance Harris' {a-}{8-}.

Harris' hand held and as Immekus headed towards the cage to get paid, Harris is now sitting on over 400k.

Sowers Busts Rotenberg

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Josh Rotenberg moved all in for his last change from the big blind. Chip leader Mike Sowers was in the big blind and made the call.

Rotenberg had the baby pair {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and it was a race against the {a-Spades}{q-Spades} of Sowers.

The cards fell {5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Rotenberg was out of his chair as the flop fell and there was no reason for him to sit back down again.

Justin Bonomo eyed Sowers stack as he had just been moved to Bonomo’s table commenting that he thought he was the chip leader but now he knew better.

Strelitz Wakes Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Daniel Strelitz is now sitting on close to 400,000 in chips after waking up with {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and Jesse Capps and Hans Bosman shoving in front of him.

Capps held {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Bosman {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}, but neither could best Strelitz' aces on a {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board.

Capps hit the exits and Bosman is now crippled.

Burbick Bumps It Up

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Corey Burbick threw it all in with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and got looked up by big stack Jason Wheeler holding {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

The board rolled out {j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Wheeler was forced to double Burbick's 99,500-chip stack.

Wheeler Dealer

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Jason Wheeler was in the small blind in a heads up pot with the big blind on the turn of a board reading {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Clubs}.

Wheeler bet 26,000 and got a call. The river was the {q-Hearts} and Wheeler reached for orange T5000 chips, ten of them for a bet of 50,000. It was an expensive call for his opponent but he verbally announced it.

Wheeler turned over {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. “Straight to the queen,” the dealer said, and the chips were pushed to Wheeler.
