Don Nguyen just picked up two very large pots back-to-back. In the first hand, we picked it up with three-way action with Joseph Cheong, Don Nguyen, and Mike Leah, after the first draw. Nguyen bet, Leah and Cheong called, Nguyen stood pat, Leah and Cheong drew two. Nguyen bet, Leah raised, and Cheong and Nguyen called. Nguyen stood pat, Lead and Cheong drew one. Nguyen lead out again, both Leah and Cheong called. Checks around after the final draw and Nguyen takes it down with .
The next hand, Nguyen, Cheong and Hanh Tran were involved in a three-bet pot on the opening deal. Tran swapped two, Nguyen asked for one, and Cheong drew two. Tran check-clled a bet from Nguyen and Cheong tagged along. Tran drew two, Nguyen stood pat, and Cheong drew one. Again Tran check-called a bet from Nguyen and Cheong made the call. Tran drew one, Nguyen stood pat, Cheong also drew one. Tran check-folded to Nguyen's bet and Cheong called. Nguyen tabled and it was good.
Picking up with the action on the second draw, Layne Flack and Catherine Dever stood pat while Dan Kelly opted for one card. Flack led out with a bet, Dever called, and Kelly called as well.
On the final draw, Flack and Dever stood pat once more and Kelly picked up one new card. Action checked around and Dever tabled an . She was ultimately best by one card, however, as Flack showed down for a better eight low. Kelly mucked his cards and Flack was pushed the pot. The six-time WSOP bracelet winner is now sitting on about 48,000 in chips.
Mike Leah opened from late position and Hanh Tran called in the big blind. Tran swapped two and Leah drew three. Tran lead out, Leah called, and both players drew two. Tran lead out again, Leah raised, Tran three-bet, and Leah let it go. Tran then tabled for a bluff.
Joseph Cheong raised from early position and Don Nguyen made it three bets from the small blind. Action came back to Cheong and he tossed out a call.
Nguyen picked up one new card at the first draw while Cheong opted for two. Nguyen bet, Cheong called, and the duo was off to the second draw. Nguyen stood pat during draw number two and Cheong picked up one new card. Nguyen fired out once again and Cheong moved out a call.
For the final draw, Nguyen stood pat once more while Cheong took one final card. Nguyen bet, Cheong folded, and Nguyen was pushed the pot.
Bill Chen raised from the button and David Bell called out of the small blind. The two were heads up to the first draw where Bell took one and Chen took two card. The action went check-check and the draw amounts repeated for the second draw.
Bell fired out after the second draw and Chen tossed out a call. Both players took one card on the final draw and Bell bet out one last time. Chen called and Bell instantly flung his cards into the muck. Chen's cards were not shown and he was pushed the pot.
