Thomassie Busts One

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Dylan Thomassie opened from the small blind to 4,500 and then called his opponent's three-bet to 14,000. The flop came {q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Thomassie checked. His opponent pushed all in for 29,000 and Thomassie thought for a while before eventually making the call with {k-Spades}{q-Spades}.

His opponent tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and the board ran out {9-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Thomassie continues to chip up here early on day two.

Scott Montgomery raised to 3,500 preflop and the player on the button three-bet to 7,400. Montgomery called and the dealer delivered a flop of {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. Montgomery check-raised to 14,000 when his opponent bet 5,700, which was good enough to take down the hand.

Ace-Queen Times Three

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Allen Kessler raised to 3,600 in middle position and Isidro Sifuentes pushed 16,200 all in from the cutoff. Jonas Mackoff sat on the button and asked for a count. "I'm also all in," Mackoff announced, and pushed in 21,500. Kessler tanked for a full minute before also getting it in. "Whatever. I'm in too," he said.

Kessler: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Sifuentes: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Mackoff: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Three suited ace-queens and a board of {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} meant the pot got chopped three ways.

"That's impossible," Kessler said. "You gotta get a picture of this."

Phil Collins
Phil Collins

We didn't see the action but Phil Collins got it all in against an opponent and the board read {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Collins had tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and it was good as the dealer was counting his stack to confirm the amount he was due.

Bazan Knocks Out Two

Level 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Samantha Bazan was sitting comfortably on a pile of chips in the big blind when the button pushed all in and the small blind pushed all in behind. Bazan had both of them easily covered and she called with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and was holding the best hand by the river on the board of {8-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs}. She is now one of the larger stacks in the room.

The flop was {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Morozovs check-raised all in after a 7,000 bet from his opponent. His opponent folded and Morozovs showed the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

"You're pretty good at flopping sets," said a player at the table. "It's my specialty," quipped Morozovs.
