Benyamine Scoops Bonomo

Level 18
David Benyamine
David Benyamine

Omaha 8

From under the gun, Justin Bonomo raised. David Benyamine made the call from the next seat, and Sergey Rybachenko called from the small blind.

The flop came down {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, and action checked to Benyamine. He bet, and both Rybachenko and Bonomo called.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds}, and action checked to Benyamine again. He bet, but only Rybachenko called this time.

On the river, the {J-Clubs} fell, and Bonomo checked. After Benyamine bet, Bonomo called. Benyamine tabled the {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} for the nut straight and nut low, and Bonomo mucked his hand.

ElkY Over Negreanu

Level 18

Omaha-8

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier opened with an under-the-gun raise and found calls from Tom Koral on the button and Daniel Negreanu in the big blind. The flop fell down {K-Spades}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and Negreanu came out with a bet. Grospellier called and Koral got out of the way.

Fourth street was the {2-Clubs} and Negreanu bet once more. Grospellier stuck around and the {10-Spades} finished off the board. Both players checked and Negreanu showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} for a pair of kings. Grospellier had that beat, however, with {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for tens and treys. He scooped up the pot and now has about 265,000 while Negreanu has dropped down to about 65,000.

Kenney Quartered by Sklar

Level 18

Omaha 8

Bryn Kenney raised to 12,000 and Richard Sklar called. Kenney bet out 6,000 on the {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} flop only to have Sklar raise. Kenney called, and then check-called on the turn and river as it ran out {Q-Spades} and {A-Diamonds}.

Sklar tabled his {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} for aces-up and the nut low while Kenney and his {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} would only see him get a quarter.

Kassela Stays In

Level 18

Razz

Frank Kassela completed it on third street and Bruno Fitoussi made the call. On fourth Kassela paired up and Fitoussi bet. Kassela made the call and called another bet on fifth street the same thing repeated itself.

On sixth street Kassela got all but 8,000 chips of his stack into the pot when he raised Fitoussi's bet and the Frenchman called. Kassela put his final 8,000 in blind and on seventh Fitoussi thought about it long and hard before folding his hand.

Aces Up For Wallace

Level 18

Stud

Wallace: {x-}{x-} / {A-Spades}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds} / {x-}
Kassela: {x-}{x-} / {J-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} / {x-}

We arrived at the table on sixth street to see Christopher Wallace check over to 2010 WSOP Player of the Year Frank Kassela. Kassela cut out a bet and Wallace called to see his final card. The dealer pitched seventh street and Wallace tapped the table. Kassella moved forward one final bet and Wallance instantly called.

"Jacks up," said Kassela, rolling over {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Spades} for jacks and fours.

"I have aces up," replied Wallace with {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for aces and nines.

Wallace received the pot while Kassella was left with just 20,000 in chips.

Madsen Nears 300K

Level 17

Stud

Jeff Madsen: {X-}{X-} / {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Scott Bohlman: {X-}{X-} / {K-Spades}{5-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{A-Spades}fold

Picking up the action on fifth street, Bohlman checked, and Madsen fired a bet. Bohlman took some time to think about his decision, then slid forward the chips to make the call. On sixth street, very similar action happened; Bohlman checked, Madsen bet, and Bohlman tanked. This time, though, Bohlman folded, and Madsen won the pot.

"That was a pretty key card for me," said Madsen, as he turned over the {A-Hearts} from the hole. That's all he showed and raked in the pot.
