You Take It

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

JC Tran bet 11,500 into a 20,000-chip pot on the river with the board reading {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

After a minute in the tank, Scott Seiver cut out a call and placed the chips right in front of Tran. Tran then moved both the bet and the call back in front of Seiver and moved to muck his hand. Seiver tabled {k-Clubs}{j-Spades} to pick up the pot.

Kaverman Puts a Beat on Galfond

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Galfond, pictured in an earlier event.
Phil Galfond, pictured in an earlier event.

Phil Galfond bet 11,700 from the big blind against Byron Kaverman on the button on a {6-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop. Kaverman sat motionless for a bit before dropping 25,400 into the middle. Galfond pushed all in, and Kaverman made the call.

Kaverman: {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Galfond: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

Galfond was in command with aces, but the {10-Clubs} turn gave Kaverman a few additional outs. The dealer burned and turned a {9-Clubs} river, and Kaverman's boat sank Galfond.
