Negreanu Chips Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Following a call, Daniel Negreanu completed only to have the opponent on his immediate left raise. Negreanu called and bet fourth with his opponent calling before Negreanu was raised on fifth. Negreanu called, and then bet sixth and was called before he bet the river dark.

Negreanu: {X-}{X-} / {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {3-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} / {X-}

Negreanu's opponent tabled his {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} and mucked as Negreanu scooped the pot to move to 6,200 in chips.

Matusow Arrives and Chips Up

Level 2 : 75/150, 25 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

We just spotted Mike Matusow taking a seat in the purple section, and straight away he was into action calling a bet on sixth as another player folded. Matusow then checked sixth, as did his opponent, before adding, "must have fours and deuces then!"

Matusow: {X-}{X-} / {10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} / {X-}
Opponent: {X-}{X-} / {4-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Hearts} / {X-}

Matusow pointed at his board indicating he was playing tens-up, and turned over {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs} / {7-Spades} as his opponent flashed his {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} and mucked.

Matusow recently sat down with PokerNews contributor Kim Yuhl to discuss his first WSOP where he reminisces about Stu Unger and losing heads-up to Scotty Nguyen.
