Hello everyone and welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2014 World Series of Poker. Getting underway soon will be Event #34: $1,500 Seven-Card Stud. Last years WSOP did not feature this buy-in amount for seven-card stud, but did have a $2,500 version which saw David Chiu emerge on top after battling Scott Seiver heads up to win the $145,520 first place prize.

Other notable players who would make the final table last year included the likes of Michael Mizrachi in fourth place, Frank Kassela in fifth place, Matthew Ashton in seventh place, and Adam Friedman in eight place. Falling short of making the final table but cashing were Mike Sexton, Andre Akkari, Ashton Griffin, Mike Leah, Bill Chen, Calvin Anderson, and Daniel Negreanu.

Many of those players and more are expected to join the action tonight. Play will get underway at 4 p.m. local time. PokerNews will be here until the very last card is dealt so make sure to tune in!
