Aido Continues to Crush

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Sergio Aido is almost at 60,000 chips after a ridiculously good start here in Event #35.

Also doing well for themselves are John Juanda and Scottish pro Niall Farrell.

We also caught up with Canada's Justin Oliver who came second in Event #29 last night for $332,198 and narrowly missed out on his second bracelet.

McCorkell Gets Lucky to Eliminate Sylvia

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante
Jesse Sylvia
Jesse Sylvia

Jesse Sylvia was no longer sitting in his seat, and a quick check with the table confirmed that he had been eliminated.

Apparently it happened when Sylvia opened for 500 and David "ODB" Baker called. Craig McCorkell then three-bet to 1,750 from the small blind, Sylvia moved all in for right around 10,000, and Baker got out of the way. McCorkell opted to make the call and was in a bad spot.

McCorkell: {k-}{q-}
Sylvia: {a-}{q-}

The {5-}{2-}{4-} flop kept Sylvia firmly in the lead, but then McCorkell hit his three-outer when a {K-} appeared on the turn. The {9-} blanked on the river and Sylvia's tournament came to an end here in Level 5.

Musumeci Takes on Kamutzki

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Heinz Kamutzki opened for a raise in late position and was called by Amanda Musumeci on the button and the small blind came along for the ride, too.

It was checked to Kamutzki on the {7-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop and he made it 1,200 to go. Only Musumeci called so it was heads-up to the {5-Spades} turn. Kamutzki fired again, making it 2,200 to go and again Musumeci called.

Kamutzki checked the {10-Hearts} river and Musumeci placed a small 1,025 bet across the line. Kamutzki wouldn't take the bait and he folded, leaving Musumeci to claim the pot.

The Grinder of the Graner

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a flop of {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Stephen Graner checked from the small blind and the player in the big did the same. The under-the-gun player then bet 400 and Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi min-raised to 800 from middle position. Graner flatted, the big blind folded, and the under-the-gun player got out of the way.

Graner then check-called a bet of 1,525 on the {2-Hearts} turn before both players checked the {2-Diamonds} river. Mizrachi tabled the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for two pair, but Graner held a better two pair with the {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Crane Doesn't Fall for Jaffee's Trap

Level 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

On a {Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} flop, Jared Jaffee checked over to Russell Crane in the next seat along. Crane bet 625 and Jaffee called.

Both players checked the {3-Clubs} turn and the {4-Hearts} river, where it became apparent Jaffee was setting a trap, as he had the {K-Spades} in his hand and had Crane easily beat.
