Yoon Finishes Bowker Off

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Kyle Bowker couldn't hit his outs on the river.
Kyle Bowker couldn't hit his outs on the river.

Kyle Bowker was already all in on a board of {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}, and Brian Yoon was heads up against one more opponent. Yoon bet 100,000, and his active foe folded.

Yoon turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for top pair, while Bowker had life with the {a-Spades}{4-Clubs}, needing a spade to double up. A black card arrived, but it was the {2-Clubs}.

Loosli Doubles With QQ

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Sylvain Loosli woke up with queens at the right time.
Sylvain Loosli woke up with queens at the right time.

We found Sylvain Loosli with a three-bet in front of him in the big blind against Ludovic Riehl, who had opened the button. Riehl announced all in, and Loosli beat him to the pot. Loosli's {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} held up against Riehl's {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}, and he doubled to over 500,000.

Some Updated Counts

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Madsen Eliminates Massey to Amass Some Chips

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Aaron Massey
Aaron Massey

Action folded around to Aaron Massey in the small blind and he opted to move all in for right around 140,000. Jeff Madsen was in the big, asked for a count, and then squeezed out his cards.

"Call," he said after looking down at something he liked.

Madsen: {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}
Massey: {q-Spades}{7-Spades}

Massey was behind, but he was drawing to two live cards. The {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop wasn't what he was looking for, and neither was the {2-Hearts} turn. Massey needed either a queen or seven on the river to survive, but it was not meant to be as the {K-Hearts} blanked.

Massey exited in 31st place for $15,148.

Ferrell Loses Flip for His Tournament Life

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded around to Sam Trickett in the small blind and he simply moved all in to put Michael Ferrell to the test in the big. Ferrell liked his cards and wasted little time in calling off for 140,000.

Ferrell: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Trickett: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}

It was a flip, but the proverbial coin did not come down in Ferrell's favor as the board ran out {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to give Trickett a winning flush. Ferrell will take home $15,148 for his 32nd-place finish.

Bowker With a Chip an a Chair

Level 20 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Josh Bergman was all in preflop for 103,000, and Kyle Bowker, who had him covered by just a single T1,000 chip, made the call.

Bergman: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Bowker: {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}

Bowker got it in good, but the {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} flop gave Bergman the lead. The {4-Hearts} turn was no help to Bowker, and neither was the {8-Hearts} river.

Bowker managed to turn his 1,000 into 8,000 by winning the next hand, which turned into 29,000 when he won the hand after that. He's working on his own "a chip and a chair" story.

O'Brien Outflops Kanit, Doubles

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dan O'Brien called a preflop raise from Mustapha Kanit, then shoved for 107,000 over a 15,000 continuation-bet after {4-Spades}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flopped. Kanit tossed in a call after about 30 seconds.

Kanit: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
O'Brien: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

O'Brien faded Kanit's outs when the {3-Clubs} and {5-Diamonds} completed the board, and he doubled up.

Madsen Rockets Collopy to the Rail

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Jim Collopy just busted in 33rd place to send the tournament down to its final four tables. Jeff Madsen was the player who sent him packing thanks to pocket rockets.

After Aaron Massey opened from the cutoff seat to 12,000, Madsen reraised to 31,000 from the button. Collopy reraised all in for approximately 70,000 from the small blind, and Olivier Busquet folded from the big blind. Massey also folded, and then Madsen made the quick call with the {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}. Collopy was at risk with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

Collopy didn't get much help at all on the {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, but he did pair up when the {K-Hearts} hit the turn. Needed another king on the river, Collopy watched as the dealer slapped out the {3-Hearts} to end his tournament. Madsen, on the other hand, moved back to 540,000 in chips.

Yoon Over 500K

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Brian Yoon bet 50,000 on a board of{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and was called by the cutoff. On the {q-Diamonds} river, Yoon checked to his foe, who checked back. Yoon quickly flipped over {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and took the pot.
