Tibbles' Broadway Earns a Double

Level 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Tamara Tibbles got her last 95,000 all in preflop against the {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} of her opponent. Her {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} would need some help and the {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop wasn't exactly what she was looking for, but it did bring four more outs. The {10-Clubs} turn would complete her straight and give her the welcomed double up.

Hanson Bullets Up the Counts

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Bart Hanson
Bart Hanson

On the last hand before break, a player from the hijack raised to 10,500 and Matthew Lapossie reraised to 23,000 from the cutoff. Bart Hanson then four-bet to 42,000 from the big blind and only Lapossie called.

The flop was {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Hanson bet 25,000. Lapossie moved all in and Hanson snap-called, tabling {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. Lapossie was way behind with the {a-Spades}{4-Spades}, but the {6-Hearts} turn made things more interesting. The {3-Diamonds} river was safe though for Hanson and he would take a good bit of the chips that Lapossie had just commandeered.

Lapossie Sends Stausholm

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Matthew Lapossie had called a raise from Martin Stausholm and they went to a flop of {j-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Lapossie led and got a call. The turn card was the {a-Spades} and another bet from Lapossie saw Stausholm move all in.

Lapossie called and flipped over {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. “I’m drawing dead?” a dejected Stausholm said turning over {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The river was the {9-Spades} and with that Lapossie climbed back into second place in chips.

Lee Doubles Through Linde

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Bernard Lee moved all in from early position for 62,500 and Dylan Linde also shoved all in from right behind. Everyone else folded and Lee was at risk and behind with the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} versus the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} of Linde.

The flop changed that in a hurry, coming down {a-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. The {4-Hearts} turn and {k-Clubs} river kept Lee safe and his tournament life was revived.

Patience Pays for Dempsey

Level 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

James Dempsey’s stack is sliding down as he gets blinded out and he finally found a spot to get it in when he jammed his last 31,000 in late position. It folded to the bug blind who didn’t instantly call and Demsey declared that a good sign. Dempsey didn’t get his call though and he picked up his hole cards to show the table his {k-Spades}{j-Spades} and gave them a happy speech.

“I had it though. If you wait long enough you get rewarded.” He said ironically as he added the antes and blinds to his stack.
