Korik Cannot Crack Kings

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Zachary Korik had about 10,000 in chips left and got that in via four-bet shove preflop with {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Fabio Coppola made the call with {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and the {6-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop was devastating to say the least. Two blanks later Korik was gone and Coppola is one of the bigger stacks.

Two tables over, Yevgeniy Timoshenko has been flying under the radar so far but actually also got a decent stack, too.

Crowe Soaring

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

A couple levels ago, Owen Crowe was down to 175 chips... less than a big blind. He won an all-in pot with that 175, boosting it to 1150. He hasn't looked back since.

In a recent hand, Crowe three-bet shoved from the small blind over a raise from player in the button. The player in the button made the call putting himself at risk.

Crowe: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Foe: {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Crowe was way ahead leading into the flop. The dealer laid out a board of {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Crowe faded his opponent's turned flush draw to score the elimination and a decent sized pot.

Esfandiari and Muehloecker Clash

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Antonio Esfandiari has been recently moved to Table #12 and sat directly on Thomas Muehloecker's left — probably not where the Austrian would like him to be seated. With the dealer button in front of his chips, Muehloecker raised to 1,200 and Esfandiari three-bet to 2,900 from the small blind. Muehloecker hesitated for a moment before pushing his stack all in and Esfandiari gave up.

Prendiville Takes on Metaal

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

We joined the action on a {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} flop and Sean Prendiville as initial raiser from early position bet 1,200. Govert Metaal called and then the Irishman fired 3,100 on the {5-Clubs} turn. Metaal called again before the {4-Hearts} river completed the board.

Prendiville moved forward a stack of T500 chips while announcing all in at the same time and Metaal mucked his cards after about two minutes of consideration.

A few tables over, Jason Wheeler is doing fine as well.

Full Pressure From Harwood

Level 9 : 300/600, 75 ante

Loni Harwood called a raise to 1,200 and so did Roman Korenev in the big blind. The Russian check-called 1,700 from Harwood on the {4-Spades}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and the third player folded. After the {K-Hearts} turn, he checked and Harwood moved all in with the slightly superior stack. The Russian was immediately in agony and ultimately folded his cards after giving it some thought.

Polychronopoulos Hangs On

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Facing a raise from a player in middle position, Athanasios Polychronopoulos hesitated in the big blind before just calling with his short stack. The flop came down {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and the preflop raiser continuation-bet for 700. Polychronopoulos pushed his stack in the middle. "You just flat me pre and now you're going to push?" his opponent laughed. "Sure, why not?" Polychronopoulos replied, smiling. His opponent folded and he stacked up the new chips.

Collins Climbing

Level 8 : 200/400, 50 ante

Phil Collins raised in late position to 1,200. Vinny Pahuja called from the big blind and a player under the gun limp-called. The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}, and Pahuja and the UTG limper check-folded to a continuation bet of 1,600 from Collins.
