They Don't Call Him Boatman For Nothing

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Barny Boatman, the defending champ in this event, was faced with an 1,100-chip bet on a hand with a little more than 3,000 chips in the middle and the board reading {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}.

He shipped it in for 2,300 total and naturally, his heads-up opponent made the call. Boatman quickly turned over the old {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and the boat was good.

Bluffing The Master

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Men Nguyen got put to a decision for all his chips on a {6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board.

The man they call "The Master", among other things, bet out 1,200 into a pot of about 3,000 on the river, but his heads-up opponent responded by pushing all in.

He had Nguyen covered, making the bet for 4,700 effective. Nguyen took his time about it, but eventually folded. His opponent showed {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, otherwise known as queen high.

Level 4 : 75/150, 0 ante

Shane Schleger bet 1,125 heads-up with Lauren Kling into a pot of about 2,500, leaving himself just 1,000 chips behind.

Mackey Slipping

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Things are not looking as good as they once did for James Mackey.

He was faced with a 2,500-chip decision on the river of a pot with close to 3,000 in the middle and the board reading {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

After a minute or two in the tank, he laid it down and is looking at less than a starting stack now.

Harwood Gets Paid

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

2013 WSOP baracelet winner Loni Harwood bet 850 heads-up into a 1,500-chip pot on the turn with the board reading {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

She got called and both players checked the {2-Hearts} river before Harwood turned over {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. It must have been good as her opponent mucked.

Baldwin Gets There

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante
Eric Baldwin
Eric Baldwin

Eric Baldwin called an early position raise to 350 and the small blind came along for the ride. The flop came {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and everyone checked.

But when the {9-Clubs} turn was revealed and the original raiser bet 600, Baldwin was the only caller. The riaser checked the {a-Clubs} river, but Baldwin would have none of it, making it 1,125 to get a glimpse of his cards.

The raiser called, but mucked when Baldwin turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Shorr Slides In

Level 3 : 50/100, 0 ante

Shannon Shorr made it to his seat just in time to try and punish one limper by raising it up from the button.

Unfortunately for him, the big blind woke up with a hand and re-raised. The limper folded and Shorr did as well.
