More For Trickett

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Sam Trickett made it 60,000 from early position and found a call from Paul Newey in the big blind. The duo saw {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} hit the felt and Newey checked to the raiser. Trickett continued out for 77,000 only to have Newey come over the top for 202,000 total. Trickett called and the two were off to the turn.

The dealer produced the {3-Spades} on the turn and Newey quickly checked it over to his opponent. Trickett fired 300,000 and Newey got out of the way. Trickett pulled in the pot and is now flirting with nine million in chips.

Lo Doubles Through Lindgren

Erick Lindgren made it 50,000 to go from late position and Phil Galfond flatted from the cutoff. Rono Lo moved all in for his last 376,000 from the button and the blinds let their hands go.

"I'll call," said Lindgren after a beat.

Galfond got out of the way and the cards were turned on their backs.

Lindgren: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Lo: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}

The flop fell {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, giving Lindgren top pair but still keeping him behind Lo's two kings. The {J-Diamonds} rolled off on the turn, meaning Lindgren would need to improve on the final card to score the elimination. The {6-Clubs} finished the board and Lo was able to secure the double. He now has about 830,000 in chips while Lindgren has fallen to 1.47 million.

Seiver Close to Starting

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Scott Seiver checked to Connor Drinan on a board of {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts}, and the satellite winner fired out 150,000. Seiver called.

Both players checked on the river ({10-Diamonds}), and Seiver turned over {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

"Just quads," he said.

After raking in the pot, he looked at all of the yellow T1,000 chips and started to laugh.

"I feel like I should be crushing," he said, looking at his stack.

He counted it down, and discovered that he isn't even back to the starting stack of three million.

"I'm fifteen K short," he said, smiling.

Katz's Trick Fails

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} when Cary Katz bet 100,000 and Phil Galfond made the call.

The river brought the {10-Clubs} and Katz tossed out one 25,000 chip, similar to a move he made in the early levels of play.

Galfond tanked for a while but eventually he raised it up to 315,000.

"I liked the way it played out before better," Katz said as he folded.

"I like this better," Galfond responded with a smile.

Jacks For Bellande

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jean-Robert Bellande made it 60,000 from the cutoff and it folded around to Philipp Gruissem in the big blind. The German made it 175,000 to go and Bellande flat called.

The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Gruissem continued out with a bet of 175,000. Bellande called and the {A-Spades} dropped down on the turn. Gruissem slowed with a check and Bellande knocked the table back. The board paired on the river with the {K-Clubs} and Gruissem checked for a second time.

"Your queens are good," said Bellande as he checked his action.

"I don't have queens," replied Gruissem.

At that, Bellande slapped {J-Hearts}{j-Spades} onto the felt for the win. Gruissem mucked his cards and Bellande picked up a pot that increased his stack to about 4.025 million.

More For Ivey

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The flop read {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts} when Rono Lo checked from the small blind and Phil Ivey bet 100,000 from the big blind. Phil Galfond called from the button and Lo folded right away.

On the turn the {3-Clubs} hit and Ivey quickly tossed out 300,000, which was called by Galfond after about 30 seconds.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Galfond checked behind when Ivey decided to check. Ivey showed {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Galfond flashed his {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} before mucking.

"I almost raised the turn," Galfond smiled.

Black Jacks for Merson

Level 7 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

Brandon Steven raised to 67,000 in early position, Greg Merson called on his direct left, Erik Seidel called on the button, and Scott Seiver and Connor Drinan called from the blinds. The flop came {3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, both players in the blinds checked, and Steven continued for 172,000. Only Merson called.

The turn was the {10-Diamonds}, Steven checked, and Merson bet 280,000. Steven called.

Both players knuckled on the river ({6-Clubs}), and Merson dragged the pot with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}.
