Throwback Thursday: Max Steinberg Losing his Mind

Max Steinberg

Max Steinberg busted the 2018 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 1b in devastating fashion. He got his pocket aces all in pre-flop on the first hand of the day and lost to pocket kings. While busting the WSOP Main Event in the first hand is a nightmare for any poker player, we look back to when Steinberg had a little more luck on his side.

For this week's Throwback Thursday, we go back to the World Series of Poker 2015 hours before Steinberg made the now-defunct November Nine. Sarah Herring gets teary-eyed when an emotional Steinberg explains how important the support of his rail has been. He explains how he and the other players deep in this tournament are all losing their minds.

While we won't be seeing Steinberg deep in this year's World Series of Poker, we can look back on his 2015 WSOP journey which ended with a 4th place finish and a $2,615,361 prize.
