Coronas Flowing for Park

Level 18 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Joon Park has been one of the more animated players on Day 1c. The collection of empty cups sitting beside him may be some inclination to that fact.

In a recent pot, a player sitting to Park's right opened to 42,000 and the action was on Park. The cocktail server was walking by and a player at the table requested a Corona.

"I call the Corona," bellowed Park, "and I call the 42,000."

Park matched the bet and the rest of the table folded.

The flop came down {4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs} and the original raiser moved all in. Park snap-called.

Joon Park: {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and park's two pair was best.

Andrew Pops the Bubble

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

The last table to act before hand-for-hand play began featured action between Tim Andrew and a heads-up opponent. A completed {k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Diamonds} board lay in the middle and Andrew had put his opponent at risk.

Andrew tabled the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and his opponent flashed a top-two pair hand revealing an {a-}{k-} before his cards went in the muck and he departed in 75th place. Just one spot shy of the money.

Sartin Calls Down With Kings

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

After an open to 20,000 from a player in middle position, Russell Sartin made the call from the big blind, and a {9-Clubs}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop was delivered.

Sartin called a bet of 8,000 and the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Once again, Sartin called a bet of 8,000 and the {j-Spades} completed the board. Both players checked and Sartin tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades} to take the pot.
