"Who Doesn't Love Omaha"

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Frank Kassela just recently busted out of Event #14: $1,500 2-7 Lowball Draw and has taken a seat here in the H.O.R.S.E. event. Kassela opened from under the gun and was called by the player directly to his left. A player in middle position three-bet and the action was back on Kassela who four-bet. Both players just called which surprised Kassela a little.

"What happened? I thought once we go past a two-bet it automatically gets capped. Who doesn't love Omaha?" Kassela engaged with the table.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and Kassela led out and was called by both of his opponents. "I don't check very often," Kassela informed his opponents.

However, when the {5-Diamonds} hit the turn, Kassela quickly knuckled the table. The action checked to the player in middle position who tossed in a bet and both Kassela and the third player called.

The river was the {j-Diamonds} and Kassela fired out a bet. The player to his left folded while his other opponent looked him up. Kassela flipped over {a-}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for two pair and scooped the pot.

Omaha Hi-Lo

The board read {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and Brandon Shack-Harris in the button was check-called by the cutoff. The turn came the {2-Spades} and Shack-Harris was check-called again by the cutoff.

The river fell the {10-Diamonds} and the cutoff opponent bet, Shack-harris raised and his opponent then raised again. Shack-Harris thought for a moment before making the call and his opponent then tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}{j-Spades}{7-Hearts} for two pair. Shack-Harris then tabled {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for three of a kind, which was enough to take down the hand.

Bicycle Chops It Up

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

With the board reading {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Kate Hoang led out from the big blind and was called in two spots. The river brought the {7-Diamonds} and Hoang fired again. Both of her opponents continued to call and Hoang tabled {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for the nut low and a straight to the five.

One of her opponents held the same hand with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} but the other was forced to muck and the pot was chopped two ways.
