Welcome back to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and the 2018 World Series of Poker for Day 2 of the Event #18: $10,000 Dealer's Choice!

Day 1 saw 103 players try their hand across 20 different games to battle it out to see who would join the likes of Quinn Do, Jean Gaspard, and John Racener as winners of this prestigious event. Unlike previous years, registration is still open until cards hit the air here on Day 2, so although last year's number has already been topped by one, the previous high of 118 is unlikely to be hit unless Ivey's Room and Bobby's Room decide to close for the day.

The newest game added to the mix for this year was Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw, and with it came a scene out of a 2018 adoption of the movie Jaws. Blood. Poker blood everywhere. Just like the case in the $1,500 Dealer's Choice event, this game saw the most action and resulted in 100-big blind swings between players consistently. Six-time bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu soared up the chip counts when he was all-in for nearly 80 big blinds drawing to wheel against Scott Bohlman who also had a wheel draw. Both drew one up until the end where Negreanu was pat with a {10-}{7-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and held against Bohlman who ended up making a {Q-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

With a multitude of big bet games in the mix, and a faster structure then previous years, just 41 players would bag chips at the end of the night with 2017 WSOP bracelet winner Bryce Yockey in the lead with 328,500. Sitting right behind him as the only other player above 300,000 is fellow WSOP bracelet winner Adam Friedman (316,700), while Jon Turner (240,700), Dylan Linde (224,700), and Marco Johnson (204,700) are the only other players above 200,000.

Still in the hunt is previous champion Quinn Do (171,700), $1,500 Dealer's Choice Champion Lawrence Berg (167,900), and plenty of other multi-time WSOP bracelet winners.

Play is set to resume at 2:00 p.m. (PDT) with all the live updates being provided by the PokerNews live reporting team. With registration open until the first card is dealt, make sure you stay tuned right here to PokerNews as we provide consistent updates of every wheel, scoop, and big time bluff, live from the 2018 WSOP, and Day 2 of Event #18!
