It's Hard to Get a Fold from Zisimopoulos

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Under the gun, Georgios Zisimpoulos fired 1,800 into the pot when the dealer rolled out a {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. He received a call from a player on the button and a fold from the small blind.

Heads-up to the {5-Clubs} turn, both players decided to check and saw the {J-Clubs} hit the felt for free.

Zisimopoulos went for a blocking bet, making it 600. His opponent raised to what looked like 4,800 and Zisimopulos called within a second with {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, besting his rivals {A-}{Q-}.

"How do I get you guys to fold?" the other player asked.

Le Doubles Up Through Kenney

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Bryn Kenney opened in late position with a raise to 1,200 and action folded to the small blind where Nam Le moved all in for a bit over 4,000 chips. Action folded back to Kenney and took a quick glance at Le's stack, then called.

Nam Le: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Bryn Kenney: {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Le earned the double up plus the blinds and ante with his two pair.

Chen More than Doubles

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Last year's runner-up Pete Chen was down to only 3,900 but while his situation is far from comfortable, he doesn't have his back pushed against the wall anymore.

Chen found {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} in the small blind and moved all-in over a raise to 1,800 from early position and a flat-call in the cutoff. The player who opened the action isolated with a 6,000 four-bet, forcing out the third player.

Chen found himself drawing live as he needed to beat the {A-Clubs}{J-Spades} and he did so on the {5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} board, hitting a queen on the turn and even improving to a flush on the river.

Le on a Nub after Value-Betting with Worse

Level 8 : 300/600, 600 ante

Nam Le raised to 1,400 in the cutoff and only a player in the big blind came along.

Le checked back the {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Spades} flop and called when his opponent led 3,000 on the {9-Spades} turn.

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Le who bet another 3,000. He was quickly called and turned up his {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} only to see his value-bet fail as his opponent flopped trips with {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

That hand saw Le drop to 4,400 but he open-shoved on the very next hand, and while big blind Scott Blumstein seemed interested, he eventually let it go.

Yaroshevskyy Wins a Four-Way Pot

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Jerry Wong opened under the gun and Galen Hall (middle position), Igor Yaroshevksyy (cutoff), and Kitty Kuo (big blind) all accepted his 1,300-chip offer.

The {2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{K-Spades} flop was checked to Yaroshevskyy who fired 3,000. Only Wong called and they saw the {J-Hearts} land on the turn. Wong checked once again but gave up after Yaroshevskyy barreled for 5,300.

Schindler Takes a Hit

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened with a raise to 1,200 from the cutoff and he was called by Jake Schindler on the button. The player in the big blind called as well, so it was three-way to a flop.

The flop was {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and all three players checked. The turn was the {Q-Hearts} and action checked to Schindler who put out a bet of 3,000 this time. The big blind called while Badziakouski folded.

On the {J-Hearts} river, Schindler led out for 7,500. The big blind tanked for a good while before just calling. Schindler showed his {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a straight, but the river gave the big blind a flush with his {7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, so he would take down the pot while Schindler was clipped to right around 43,100 chips.

Ruzicka Keeps Rolling

Level 7 : 300/500, 500 ante

While Kitty Kuo has been stacking giant piles on her table, Vojtech Ruzicka has been crushing the neighbouring one.

Ruzicka recently found himself in a preflop contest with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} against an opponent who trailed with {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Ruzicka covered him by a ton as the other player had only about 20,000.

The board ran {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, giving Ruzicka a not-exactly-needed king-high flush. Ruzicka is now playing 140,000.
