Havlish Eliminates Bassett

Max Havlish opened under the gun to 9,000 and Jesse Bassett in the cut off moved all in with a stack for around 60,000. The action came back to Havlish who made the call.

With {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} in his hand, Bassett was in bad shape to double up, facing {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for Havlish.

The board {10-Spades}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Spades} brought Basset a pair of jacks but it wasn't enough and he made his way to the exit.

Kelly Coming Back

The board read {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and there was about 65,000 in the middle already. Both Anton Morgenstern in the small blind and JP Kelly in late position checked.

The river completed the board with the {q-Spades}, Morgenstern bet 32,000 and Kelly considered his options. After about 30 seconds, he decided to call. Morgenstern tabled {Q-Hearts}{8-Spades} for two pair, queens and sixes, with the king-kicker on the board. Kelly, however, showed {A-Spades}{q-Clubs} for the same two pair but with the ace-kicker in his hand took the pot.

Alvarado Collects Some

Rick Alvarado raised to 9,000 from the hijack and the player in the cutoff three-bet to 26,000. The players on the button and in the blinds folded so the action was back on Alvarado who called.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, Alvarado checked. His opponent bet 37,000 and Alvarado tanked for about three minutes. He then cut out calling chips and counted the remainder of his stack. Another minute later, Alvarado decided to shove for 163,500 extra on top of his opponent's bet. Now it was his opponent's turn to tank. After about two minuted, he decided to fold.

The river showed a {9-Diamonds} and after some consideration, Rettenamaier fired 52,000. His opponent mucked his hand and Rettenmaier is now up to 460,000.

A {10-Spades} appeared on the river and Nguyen fired 40,000. Bicknell quickly folded her hand.

Nguyen showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a full house, saying "You were drawing dead on the turn."
