Owen Chipping Up Early

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Jesse Sylvia opened to 125 from under the gun and Adam Owen raised to 400 from the cutoff position. Thomas Gabriel made the call from the small blind and Sylvia then called as well. The flop came down {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Gabriel led out for 775.

Sylvia folded to Owen who made the call and the turn came the {2-Hearts}. Gabriel checked to Owen who then bet 1,400 and Gabriel quickly made the call. The river fell the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked. Owen tabled {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for tens and eights and Gabriel mucked his hand.

Phan Doubles Through Boyd

Level 1 : 25/50, 0 ante

Russell Boyd (button) and Don Phan (small blind) were both all in with similar stacks and heads-up.

Don Phan: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Russell Boyd: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} — no danger for Phan as he doubled the 14,750 he had in front of him which left Boyd with only 500.

Shortly after, Boyd busted. So did Mickey Craft on one of the other tables.
