Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The action folded to the player in small blind who bet 7,500. Neil Blumenfield raised it to 25,000 in the big blind. After a tank, his opponent let it go and now has a stack worth 105,000.

Kanealli On the Top Counts

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

On a flop showing {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, David Kanealii, as well as two other players, checked. The turn was a {3-Hearts}, and Kanealli bet 6,000, which was enough to earn the pot without resistance.

Kanealii, who already cashed the Seniors Championship Event in 2014, has now an astonishing stack worth 360,000.

Konopelko Pulls It Back

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Andrei Konopelko was down to around 70,000 in chips but has been able to pull another 100,000 into his stack over the last couple of hands.

Firstly, Konopelko called an all-in from his opponent and they went to the races.

Andrei Konopelko: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

Board: {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Konopelko hit a much-needed king on the turn to take the lead and held on the river to eliminate his opponent, and in the very next hand, he won a three-bet pot on the flop to increase his stack further.

The Fall of McReynolds

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The board was showing {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and the players already had their cards tabled for a massive pot. Nick Tsoukalas was all in for 135,000 chips with {q-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} in his hand. Timothy McReynolds, holding {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, was dominated, and the pot went to Tsoukalas who made a huge double-up.

McReynolds, the former chipleader, was left with only 11,000 after this hand and pushed all in from under the gun. A player reshoved and they both went to see the following board: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Holding {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, McReynolds made the flush and doubled up through his opponent who had {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Minaya Cracks Aces

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Manelic 'Manny' Minaya has built up quite the stack in Day 2 so far, and he did his chances of progressing to Day 3 no harm when he cracked pocket aces with pocket kings on the river.

Minaya had called the all in of his opponent and saw he was in bad shape. The board came {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs} before the miracle {k-Clubs} hit the river to a roar of surprise from the players at his table and meant his opponent was sent to the payout desk.

Minaya pulled the pot towards his nicely formed chip tower and moved up to the 350,000 mark.

The flop came {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Scott pushed everything in the middle for 28,900. Nguyen quickly called and the players tabled their cards.

Scotty Nguyen: {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Bernard Scott: {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Nguyen had the dominating hand but Scott hit his flush draw after the {7-Diamonds} and the {5-Clubs} completed the board. He is now up to 77,000 chips.

Esposito Loses Chips

Level 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With a board showing {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}, around 25,000 were already in the middle when after a check from his opponent, John Esposito bet 20,000.

His opponent opted to check-shove all in for 49,000, putting Esposito to a difficult decision. After a few minutes, he ended up folding his hand.

The winner of the 1999 $2,500 Limit Hold'em event still has a comfortable stack worth 105,000.
