Ohel's Number Two Rakes a Big Pot

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

2-7 Triple Draw

Randy Ohel opened with a raise. Brandon Shack-Harris made it three bets and Dan Zack called in the big blind. Action was back to Ohel and he made it four bets. Shack-Harris and Ohel both called.

On the first draw, Zack took two while Ohel took one. Shack-Harris also took two. Zack checked. Ohel bet, and both of his opponents called.

On the second draw Zack and Ohel took one while Shack-Harris took two again. Zack checked again. Ohel bet again, and both of his opponents called again.

All three players took one on the final draw and Zack checked for a third time. Ohel bet once more. Shack-Harris leaned back in his chair and thought for a bit, then eventually decided to just call. Zack folded.

"Number two," Ohel said revealing his {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. Shack-Harris mucked quickly so Ohel took down the pot.

"I had a possible raiser," Shack-Harris said after the hand.

Wong Takes Some from Volpe

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

The board was {K-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Paul Volpe was facing off against Jerry Wong. Both players had several bets each in front of them when Volpe bet on the turn. Wong called.

The river was the {K-Hearts} and Volpe bet one more time. Wong instantly called.

"Ace high," Volpe said, not revealing his hand.

Wong turned over his {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for a full house and that would earn him the pot as Volpe mucked.

Scott Seiver

No-Limit Hold'em

As recapped to us by John Monnette, he opened to 2,000 from the hijack and Phil Ivey three-bet to 6,000 from the button. Scott Seiver called in the big blind and Monnette called.

The flop came down {6-}{4-}{4-} and they all checked. The turn was a {10-}, Seiver bet 12,500, Monnette called, and Ivey folded. The river was a {7-}, Seiver bet 27,000, and soon all his chips were in the middle after a Monnette raise.

Seiver held {6-}{6-} for sixes full, but Monnette had him beat with {10-}{10-} for tens full to score the elimination.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

No-Limit Hold'em

There was roughly 10,000 in the pot on a flop of {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Ryan Miller was first to act from the small blind. He checked over to Daniel Negreanu who bet 3,000 from the big blind. Johannes Becker called on the button before Miller check-raised, making it 15,000. Negreanu thought it over himself for a bit, then decided to raise, making it 40,000 total. Becker quickly folded while Miller called.

The turn was the {K-Clubs} and after a check from Miller, Negreanu bet putting out 75,000. Miller did not take too long to fold.

"I thought you had a set," Negreanu said after the hand.

"I did not," Miller responded.

Cates' River Overbet Gets Through Vitch

Level 5 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Action was on the turn with a board of {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} showing and Dan Cates was facing off against Chris Vitch. There was right around 17,000 in the pot when Cates put out a bet of 15,500 from the big blind. Vitch thought it over for a bit from the cutoff, then decided to call.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Cates thought for about a minute before putting out a massive bet of 75,000. Vitch dropped into the tank. He thought for several minutes before he eventually decided to let go of his hand so Cates raked in the pot.

Benyamine Has the Better Pair

Level 4 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was on the flop when Benny Glaser and Will Wilkinson checked over to David Benyamine who was on the button. The flop was {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Benyamine put out a bet of 7,000 and Glaser called while Wilkinson folded.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, both players checked. They checked again on the {2-Clubs} river.

"Pair," Glaser said. Benyamine indicated that he wanted to see which pair. Glaser reluctantly showed his {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for one pair. Benyamine then turned up his {7-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a better pair and he took down the pot.
