Karmatakii Quietly Building

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Arsenii Karmatakii has been building chips under the radar, it seems. Karmatakii, this year's EPT Sochi winner, has built up to a very healthy 79,000, which is two and a half times the average.

Margolin Doubles Up

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Timur Margolin
Timur Margolin

The player in the under-the-gun position raised to 1,500 and Timur Margolin (mid-position) and the player in the big blind called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, the big blind checked, the initial raiser bet 3,000, Margolin called, the big blind raised to 11,000, the under-the-gun player folded, Margolin shoved, and the big blind snap-called with the bigger stack.

Timur Margolin: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Big Blind: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Margolin was sitting on a flush draw and his opponent had flopped a set.

The rest of the board was completed with the {8-Hearts} on the turn to give Margolin the flush. His opponent now needed the board to pair to kick Margolin out of the tournament. The {a-Diamonds} on the river was a safe card for Margolin, though, as he got paid for the 13,900 he had in front of him.

Moshe Takes a Hit

Level 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Asi Moshe
Asi Moshe

Former bracelet winner Asi Moshe has just taken a hit.

First, Maria Konnikova kicked things off with a raise to 1,300 in middle position. She garnered one call from the player on her left before Moshe squeezed to 5,100. Konnikova moved aside before the other player called and it was heads up to the flop of {4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Moshe continued for a slightly smaller sizing of 4,200 before being check-raised by his opponent. He flat called and the dealer laid out a {7-Spades} river. The player promptly moved all in and Moshe didn't need long to decide what to do, making the fold.

Moshe still has a little above average at this point, with 38,000.

Aylar Lie Eliminated

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante
Aylar Lie
Aylar Lie

The money was in and the cards were already on their backs with Aylar Lie holding {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and up against {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}.

The flop came a resounding {j-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} and it was all over by the {j-Diamonds} turn. Lie had already gotten out of her seat by the time the {4-Hearts} was dealt on the river.

We will have to wait until tomorrow to find out whether the Norwegian will choose to reenter.

Hallaert and May Get Folds

Level 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Kenny Hallaert raised to 1,600 from early position and the player in the big blind called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The player in the big blind check-folded to the 3,000 bet of Hallaert.

One table further, the flop read {j-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and there was about 5,000 in the middle already. The player in the hijack had bet 1,500 and Heidi May called on the button.

The turn brought them the {4-Spades} on which May called the 3,500 bet of her opponent.

The {a-Spades} on the river completed the board. Her opponent checked. May shoved for around 27,000 and he snap-folded.
